""Aaron Lennon's been in good form and i think he's better on the left than the right in all honesty. He like to duck inside on his right foot or he can take it past you and gets more opportunities to score goals"

interesting maybe we will see more of it, we have seen glimpses that he is good on the left (fulham away, bolton home) so maybe he is better

He would infinitely better on either wing if he could work on his left foot and be able to either way. Chrissy Waddle said it only took him a year of hard training on his right until he felt equally comofortable on either foot.

I believe Jol said the same thing. I prefer him on the right but switching it mid game is something that throws teams off and is a good option to have.

very few players are even competent with their weaker foot, i don't think it's that. he just needs to believe in himself and be a bit more selfish.

yeah jol tried it and whilst i think he's improved i'd rather have natural left footer onleft and right on right, i do like them swapping though

Last season he was playing very bad but the one game where he did look like the old lennon was against newcastle when bale was injured and he started on the left

Wasn't Ginola right footed?
I agree with what's been said, having the option to swap wings mid game can have a great effect and totally blow away the opposition's tactics.
And Lennon's biggest problem seems to be more mental than ability.

I think Bale and Lennon swapping wings will be key for us this season. We don't want to slip into teams predicting that we're going to stick them to their natural wing, when Bale switched against Bolton he cut in field an was all over the place, which proved difficult for the Bolton players to stick a man on him. Lennon has looked great from the left this season and for once we have two wingers who can be dangerous for different reasons from both sides. Bales crossing from the left is absolutely lethal though, I bet every striker would love him providing for them.

He's better on the left as he doesn't have to cross! Bloody awful usually, at that.

Well when he gets to the byline and either cuts it back or hits it across the box he isn't awful. It is up to the strikers to attack those balls but they don't do it effectively enough.

Bale on the right isn't as effective as Lennon on the left.

Lennon, though, has scored a few left-footed goals cutting in off the right over the years.

Swap shop indeed. Even VDV can add to that, the three of them swapping position. Bale was popping up in the middle on Saturday, charging forward withthe ball, causing havoc. VDV can do a job on the right or left for a short time. Those three swapping and changing position regularly during the game wiill give defenders and managers a headache or two.

Them switching is also useful when bale is double or triple teamed on the left

This is right ,Lennon has a nice little left foot shot ..but like myself back in the day , crossing with his left is a no no .

As others say , its cool he swaps about .

Are you having a laugh? He has produced some great crosses and pull backs this year - and would have a much higher assist rate is Ade had coverted even 25% of them.

Having Lennon and Bale on the flanks with their ability to interchange position is producing great football at the Lane that the opposition just cannot handle - long may it continue.

The only thing that annoys me about his game at the moment is him not using his left foot enough, he scores enough goals with it, and if you look back on YouTube for highlights from when he broke into our team, he crossed with his left foot quite a bit too, but he never does it anymore. Still prob my favourite spurs player tho!

I agree 100% with this. You can't prepare properly as a team for defending against these players when you have no idea which one will be coming at you at any given time.

Add VDV and Modric into that mix along with the two fullbacks and the opposition defence must really struggle trying to work out how to go about the game defensively.
