I'd like to see Rinat Akhmetov purchase it. talk about ironyMy take on Chelsea being sold......As The war in Ukraine intensifies, Chelsea FC becomes so toxic because of its association to the current Putin regime. Who would want to take it on. It's great success over the past 20 years and its rise to super club status will always be attributed to the Abramovich ill gotten gains. Regarding sponsorship, would you want a football club that will always be associated to the slaughter of innocent woman & children, I know thats sounds harsh, but the moment the government sanctioned Abramovich, its value diminished. RANT OVER.
But if he doesn't sell, the club goes bankrupt and he loses it anyway. He's probably consulting Putin now finding out what he wants to do with it.The VAT man will be knocking on their door any day.
I am convinced that Roman won't sell the club and write off £2bn..........he'd be a fucking idiot if he did! Besides which, I'm pretty sure he'll have more important things on his mind right now.
If their bank account is suspended they won’t be able to pay wages. How will they operate?
"There are, however, significant limitations on what money can be spent on and how it can be spent.
It is understood that temporarily extends to company credit cards at Chelsea — and means they have currently been left unable to buy fuel for the team bus."
The wheels on the bus go noooo-where! Nooooo-where! Nooooo-where! The wheels on the bus go nooooo-where! FUCK OFF CHELSEA!!!
nahChelsea will land on their feet. They will get new owners. Win more cups and all will be the same.

They should be put into administration so that employees can be paid. Their wage bill is meant to be 5m per week. I don't give a fuck about players or the mega earners but a lot of people like ground staff, caterers, security etc could be in real trouble very quickly, which isn't right.
The Sky article says Barclays are suspending the account as a precaution until they (Barclays) can figure out exactly what the operating licence allows and does not allow. It sounds more technical than terminal. If their bank account is suspended they won’t be able to pay wages. How will they operate?
I thought the government said the players and staff would continue to get paid despite the sanctions
Would putting them into Administration lift the freeze on Abramovich's assets?

Yeah I understand you my granda was Chelsea born and bred. He died young in 1982 and my only sentiment of empathy is for th club he loved. The current incarnation is literally a different beast. What about those who are genuine folk that loved the club prior to Abramovich? Can we feel sorry for them or are you and everyone else putting them under the same brush? My dad has been a blue since he was a child. I feel sorry for him. His whole life dedicated to a club may end in a way nobody saw coming. Regardless of Abramovich and his money or the trophies they won in that time, a club going out of business because its owner is linked with an invasion is insane. The genuine fans like my dad may have their club taken away and it has come out of nowhere.
I feel for the genuine fans and the staff who work at the club. The admin staff. The people nobody gives a damn about apparently. Nobody has thought about them losing their jobs have they?
Chelsea players doing a fundraiser car wash likePlayers going to have to do bake sales.
Absolutely this!!They should be put into administration so that employees can be paid. Their wage bill is meant to be 5m per week. Haven't met a chav yet that doesn't have Wonga.com on speed dial.If their bank account is suspended they won’t be able to pay wages. How will they operate?
Agree but the little guys and gals getting shafted because the owner ran the business into the ground is the way of the world. It sucks, but is what it is.They should be put into administration so that employees can be paid. Their wage bill is meant to be 5m per week. Although he doesn't own the pitch, he does still own a lot of the land, hotel, and property at the sight in possibly the most expensive area in Europe.........if he sits it out until after the sanctions are lifted, then he'll still have some value (even if the foorball club dissapears). But if he doesn't sell, the club goes bankrupt and he loses it anyway. He's probably consulting Putin now finding out what he wants to do with it.
