Ludicrous decision. From 'de facto director of football' to the sack within a few weeks. Especially when they had opened contract talks with him.

Wouldn't be surprised if Boehly took charge of the next match himself.

Poch would not get on with that squad at all. Its a mess of a squad, absolute madness they just dropped £200+ million only to get rid of the manager a week later.

Don’t mess with Conte….

They did look like a club without a plan with all of their spending this summer, particularly with leaving it until the last minute to sign a striker - I doubt that was down to Tuchel though.

That's an insane decision imo. Tuchel would be top of my list for Spurs coach if Conte left any time soon.

Boehly must have Potter lined up, Poch would be a bizarre one.
Well he’s a now a former Chelsea manager and Levy does like that on a CV.

This is Chelsea all over. Let the coach choose the players throughout the window, built to a specific style of playing – then sack him six games in, to bring in a new manager who will want to play a different way with different players.

The sad thing is they'll still jam a trophy.

Zidane or Ancelotti would make sense given their mess of a squad, but Potter would surely need a summer to drill into this lot.

Fucking weird decision though, a shambles of a transfer window run by someone who’s never been in football before and then sack the manager at the first sign of trouble.

Think it was the beginning of the end for Tuchel regardless, but dropping almost 300m on players to suit a specific system then sacking the manager 7 days after the window shuts...? I thought he would've got more time to try and piece things together.

So who can they get? Potter or Poch seem the two obvious candidates but is Potter going to walk out on Brighton at the start of the season when he's just witnessed how trigger happy Boehly is? The bloke's even more ruthless than Abramovic.

They don’t fuck about, just hope this time they have a transition period like most teams that sack a manager instead of the usual seamless switch.

I don’t know if Potter would leave the security he has to jump into a circus that Chelsea is and with the good chance he’ll be out of a job sooner rather than later.

A couple of years back I was helping a coach with his English and this coach worked with Tuchel at the time.

When I asked him how Tuchel is as a coach, he only told me that he is an incredibly intelligent guy. Didn't really elaborate any more and quickly changed subject.

It felt like one of those scenarios where they were being quite vague cause they didn't want to reveal anymore.

I think about that now and the way Tuchel's behaviour has been.

It makes me wonder if he's one of those guys whose brain works on a level others don't understand, or that he can't simplify it to others less intelligent than him.

I fully believe he's a tactical genius but because he can't simplify it, his players are struggling to do what he's wanting.

Hardly any of the players who have been there under his tenure have been smashing it in terms of attacking input.

Perhaps he's too rigid?

Whatever it is, it does seem like players are struggling to be play with any vibrancy

Spectrum.

Absolutely insane to have shipped off 100m Lukaku for this bloke, and signed his best mate only to sack him if there have been fundamental issues between Tuchel and Roehly Boehly. Absolute kneejerk stuff, but hopefully leaves them in disarray for a little bit.

Now the new man has to come in and use signings that he might not even like.

Interesting one if they go for Potter. Because I know it sounds crazy, but it could be a disaster, because behind the scenes something is off there. Boehly is obviously controlling all signings, and Potter has a great thing going at Brighton. But I can't see Potter turning down the chance. If he doesn't win the league he will be gone in 12 months and Potter would do better at a club like Spurs or even I hate to stay it, Arsenal, where he gets some time.

Yeah I agree. Maybe if they'd gone for him in the summer, sold him a dream and promised him players, but right now there's a lot of risk.

First job at a big club with massive egos, no pre-season and a chairman who will sack him at the drop of a hat. Not enough to risk walking away from a top-4 Brighton IMO.

I reckon they'll end up with Poch personally. Don't think Zidane would come to England.

Hopefully Poch can help bring them down from the inside if he does go there...

Obvious choice is Potter but they'd have to break the bank for him I'd imagine and he seems really happy with what he's building at Brighton.
