I have slept on it. The sheer venom after every defeat now is pathetic. "Every player needs selling" depending on their performance in any given 90 minutes on here and I'm sick of trying to just get a bit of perspective into here.

Once you've banged your head against the wall long enough, it's just time to stop, the following morning to wake up to some of the posts I've seen it's just not worth it.

The balanced posters here are without question drowned out by those that clearly don't understand how complex things are, and with every win expect us to perform at 100% for ever after and then when we don't just doom monger for the following days. I'm not going to stop posting just going to stay well away from posting in the Spurs and transfer based threads, and that means all of them.
Really sorry to hear that, have looked forward to seeing your insight into what the hell is going on.
Agree with you re the venom and the match day threads particularly are something I am giving a
miss to more and more, and when I don’t the match I’m watching bears no likeness to the comments in the thread.
Guess you’ve made your mind up but hope you’ll reconsider.

Not sure it was on the super Sunday morning program with Darren Lewis. I’m actually hoping this Nick Candy geezer gets it he seems well shady. Reading about him his deals seem littered with law suits and disagreements. Seems to be very heavy on the PR and spin as we are seeing from amount of statements he’s releasing. Real shades of a young David Sullivan.
Nick Candy can’t afford to buy the club on his own and we’re not hearing much about the consortium he was supposedly putting together. My hope, therefore, is that he exploits the current turmoil by forcing through the acquisition without sufficient finance to make any real go of it once he’s taken over the reigns.

In any event, every credible link for a takeover seems to be property investment/investment types. None of which will put much money into the club. The transition from how they’ve operated for 20 years to how they’ll need to operate going forwards is unlikely to be smooth.

You shouldn't let the idiots get to you trix. I just completely ignore the dickheads and make them feel really small.

Amazes me that people still read the match day threads / take them seriously. As with everything on the internet nowadays things should be viewed with a filter (match thread, transfer rumours, stadium naming rights, etc…) people vent as a reaction… it doesn’t actually mean anything ?‍♂️

Even more disgusting that this is knowing that this £430m yacht is RA’s ‘2nd’ boat! He also has a £730m yacht bobbing around the Med.
Who needs two half billion pound boats?
It’s not like a house in the city and one in the countryside.
At one point several years ago he owned 4 of the largest 10 in the world. Grand Bleu, Ecstasea and a couple others I forget at the time

Probably doesn’t even know he owns them.

I virtually gave up reading and posting in the Matchday thread because of the absolutely ridiculous dare I say in some cases disgraceful posts. Now unfortunately that seems to be spreading to other threads.

Candy is clearly a media whore it’s so obvious. Pop star wife etc. if he does get it I’ve absolutely no doubt he will look to spend big and make a splash and probably ultimately get them in a right financial mess.

My favorite thing now is the Chelsea-leaning journalists who are now getting behind this Saudi Media takeover or are saying Chelsea as a club don’t deserve this (they do, their fans have proven it with their behavior since the sanctions, sorry) and should get let off the hook. Everything’s good, these are good people! Look here - investments in youth and even the women’s team - how progressive!

That article reads like a press briefing

Cech now talking on sky doesn’t sound hugely confident about finishing the season.

Missed that too, dammit. He would though, they are trying to force the government to change the licence again. Any bit of pressure they will apply.

Matt Law now on for those posters who like throwing stuff at TVs!

Tbh Cech looked very uncomfortable. He seems like a good guy who was way out of his depth there. Crazy nobody higher up has come out to face the press.

Yeah I rarely even look at the match-threads these days, especially when we're losing (which of course is when it's by far its busiest).

It's the most negative, knee-jerk, reactionary thing ever. I get people are using it as an outlet to vent a lot of the time - it's impossible to read the whole thing and watch the match at the same time - but it's largely overblown, depressing and childish.

There's nothing to gain from reading (or contributing to) that thing most of the time.

He’s just a footballer after all. Sky seem sickly sympathetic towards them
