Feel for Brighton fans. They're having panic attacks most likely. If Potter goes to Chelsea then Brighton will be gone from the Prem very quickly
If they could stay up in successive seasons under Chris Hughton with a dog-shit squad I think they'll be alright when Potter goes.

They're a well run club and will recruit smartly if he does leave.

Stranger things have happened. They are playing great and seem to have finally added some cutting edge to their play. Wouldn't write them off at this stage, if they get lucky with injuries they have a shout imo even if it's a long shot.
For them to finish fourth they need at least three of City, Liverpool, Chelsea ,Spurs, Arsenal, and United to have awful seasons. Not to mentions West Ham, Wolves, Newcastle etc etc.

It’s not impossible, but it’s very unlikely.

Hopefully Potter/Poch turns them down and they're forced to use an interim option until a manager becomes available after the WC.

Are there any national team managers that could be realistic for them?

Sackings before November are ridiculous imo. We are 5 or 6 games into a possible 50+ game season.

The most bizarre thing of all is they just signed Aubameyang who was clearly a Tuchel target.

Then sack Tuchel days later. If Tuchel wasn't targeting and signing the players, who was? It does seem like things are a mess there.

The Telegraph has linked them to Zidane and Roger Schmidt, who is currently at Benfica. I can't really see Zidane so Schmidt might be the choice if they can't tempt Potter or Poch. I don't know much about him but based on absolutely nothing at all he sounds quite shit so hopefully they get him.

This Twitter thread is pretty enlightening on the situation. Given their reasoning for sacking him, Potter does seem like the obvious one for them to push for to signify the start of a new era.

That does seem to make more sense. The one thing is Tuchel does seem a bit highly strung and it's not the firs time he's fallen out with the board and owners of clubs.

I guess Tuchel wasn't comfortable doing the extra responsibilities Boehly wanted him to do a,d seeing as results and performances weren't good, they obviously feel change was required.

It will be a shame if Potter goes there, I fear he could be an excellent appointment IF given time. Knowing Chelsea, they always land on their feet.
