Owner influencing the team sheet always ends well

In all seriousness before Chelsea pissed the lead away I was wondering if Poch was finally on to something given their wins before the international break as well. But more likely their performances will vary and results will be uneven. They'll finish top half but how far up is difficult to tell.
Like a lot of teams they need a striker, desperately. They really should have beaten Arsenal at the weekend.

Feels like relationship that won't last long if he is already putting little digs in on the owner's influence.

Not that I disagree as such. Arsenal game looked more promising, but another defeat now at home, it really is a mess over there.

If we beat them next week, they'll probably sack Poch as well.

We are 14 (fourteen) points ahead of them after 10 games. That's outrageous.

Also presuming this season is (another) write off for them they'll lose their best player as well in Thiago Silva at the end of the season. Next season could look grim as well as they'll be struggling to stay withing FFP if they make more signings.

They look so fragile. All very amusing

Watching Chelsea under Poch reminded me so much of Spurs under Poch. Once his team goes behind he doesn't seem to have any real clue what to do. All he does is change a few players and hope for the best.

Chelsea match thread

Pre - match:
  • We've had several must wins this season. This is another must win.
  • Go big, get a win. Keep the momentum going. :cautious:
  • Starting to really begin to look forward to matches again. Last season absolutely drained me lol come on Chelsea!
  • We have unbeaten, 5 point top of the table Spurs after this in the league. That could get very ugly.
  • it could also be brilliant ..we could mess up their unbeaten run and upset them once again..
  • Much as I think Postecoglou is a wonderful coach and does a great job, I don't think Spurs are that good a team. They are riding a bubble but they don't have the squad depth to go through a season. We, and therefore a number of other teams, are well capable of beating them.
  • If Brentford win this game they will become the first side ever in the PL era to beat us at the Bridge in their first 3 visits.
  • Only two points and two goals between us, but recent form and home advantage should see us win this 3-1
  • Palmer behind the striker I guess, very interesting. A good lineup to win the game. Worrying bench. COME ON CHELS!!
  • Anyway looks like our team will be up against the Brentford Berlin Wall; we just can't beat teams teams that sit deep or score goals...would not be surprised with a 0-0 today...or the odd Brentford sh*t goal from a mistake. If there is any chance of 3 points we have to score first.
  • Think that’s a smart lineup.
  • Conor Gallagher looks so cool, he could be an actor in a pirate movie.

In play:
  • Goal is coming. I can feel it
  • We'd be near the top of the table if we'd have taken half the chances we created this season...just so poor at finishing
  • Ivan Toney is an absolute must buy for us.
  • This is poor. Zero movement and only 1 player trying to create. Could play till sunset and not score
  • If Brentford score we lose
  • 80% possession 90% boring.
  • No one on the bench that going to change this game
  • Promising and deflating half.
  • We all have seen this against low blocks and we know the outcome which is why I am not upset we will lose this 0-1
  • Got away with that one. starting to feel like I’ve seen this game once or twenty times before.
  • It's amazing how sh*te an owner Todd Boehly is. So much money wasted on this squad and you really do look at it and wonder where the goals are coming from.
  • Hope I'm wrong but this has draw written all over it. Or a sucker punch against us again maybe
  • 0-1
  • How f**king predictable.
  • f**k this is painful, how can anyone defend this ?
  • Awful just awful we are feckin sh*te
  • And there’s the match. We just don’t know how to win these games
  • Can't believe we're going to lose this
  • Game over. Anyone thinking this squad is finishing in the top half is lying to themselves. We'll dominate a lot of games but we're a bottom 5 team in the league in both boxes and that's where games are won and lost.
  • Time to turn off the match because there's no way we are even capable of drawing this.
  • We won’t score if we played until December. Not enough goals in this side and always want the extra touch
  • Loss here and it's basically a crisis again with Newcastle, Tottenham and City the next 3. Two of them away from home. Even a draw doesn't help us, we need to find a way to win.
  • 2 fullbacks coming on is poch ok ??
  • This is fking sh*t again. This team is fking useless. Just defend deep against this mob and counter once or twice. So easy. This again is another woeful shambles unravelling here.
  • We just need a penalty and a cross that goes in and we’re back in the game.
  • Not even shocked. We are a disgrace
  • Such a painful squad rebuild. A billion spent and no goals.
  • As hard working as the likes of Gallagher are, they don't have anywhere near enough quality for the amount of the ball they see.
  • We're officially a mid table club. Our squad is not good enough. This is our level and it's a damn shame.
  • I mean it just screams Chelsea doesn’t it. Billion spent, can’t score, 200M+ on two midfielders not even playing now. an absolute circus. I feel for the fans that make the journey to the Bridge. Our home form is cowardly pitiful
  • Think it ends 1-1 just need to hurry up and score
  • Zero atmosphere zero effort zero points zero character
  • Actual relegation form
  • We might need Everton to have the 12 point deduction at this rate
  • Which we might get ourselves in a few years time, with the reckless levels of spend we've seen, and the astounding lack of understanding of the European game by the ownership
  • Bad times when the backroom staff get themselves sent off so they don't have to watch any more of this sh*t
  • Not a single attempt on target in second half. It’s all sideways and infront of Brentford unfortunately. It’s disgraceful really
  • Think Poch is gone inside a month.
  • A terrible football team from defence to midfield to attack managed by a crap manager with stupid owners Welcome to Chelsea
  • 0-2
  • Haha comedy club. Absolute comedy
  • Absolute sh*t show.. mid table quality players in the first team and championship level bench.. whoever thought buying a 300 mil midfield is better than a filing striker..
  • Bring back Jose asap.
  • Absolutely no difference from Potters time here all Possession no substance f**k off
  • Todd has completely destroyed the philosophy that Roman had implemented into the club. Winning. f**king disgraceful by these overpaid twats.
  • F*ck this. It's humiliating.
  • Boehly and Clearlake, 1b wasted on sh*te. This club is now entrenched in mediocrity. I can't see us getting out of it for the foreseeable future.
  • We are the worst possession based team I have ever seen.
  • Sorry but what a sh*t show this season has been so far . From the owners to the players and manager simply not good enough
  • Poch looked pretty damned resigned just now after the final whistle. Tottenham, City, Newcastle, Brighton, United the next 5 for us. This will have been a gut punch for Poch, the players, supporters and just about everyone at the club.

Hansi Flick.

Boehly apparently really likes him.

Can't see them sacking Poch though.
Boehly must be the only one who hasn't watched Flick make an arse of himself on the Amazon Doc that followed Germany in Qatar.

Boehly barely understands the concept that the ball is round in football.

It would be ironic if we managed to beat them next week and Poch gets sacked. The way they are playing at the moment we should beat them quite comfortably.

This is why I'm not completely sold on Gallagher, I was watching him today and he offered no incisive passes or anything useful at all really.

Good player, but not sure if he has enough quality on the ball.

That's a horrid run of games, they look so fragile at the moment they could be near the bottom 3 after those matches.

Good player, but not sure if he has enough quality on the ball.
But he looked full of quality also on the ball during his season at Palace. Had we been trying to sign him the summer after that season we'd be universally saying this was the exact sort of player our midfield needed. So what's changed?

He's at a complete mess of a club is what's changed. I don't think any player currently at Chelsea is playing anywhere near to their full potential.
