SSN are saying on their yellow banner that Karius is having a scan ‘amid concerns he suffered concussion’ in the CL final..... ? Someone might say that this is purely to give an explanation for the 2 fuck ups and also because no doubt the knock they’re talking about is when Ramos ‘collided’ with him at the near post early on in the match. Gives them more reason to blame Ramos and more reason to feel sorry for Karius and welcome him back if they decide to keep him.

They should, of course, be blaming the hulking great lummox who pushed Ramos into Karius and who should have conceded a penalty as a result.

The same clumsy oaf, I might add, who gave away a needless last minute penalty against Tottenham, thereby causing the three point swing that saw them come fourth behind Spurs rather than third ahead of them. (y)

The same careless chump, I could add, who set up Manchester City's goal in the second minute of the second leg of the quarter final before Mo Salah (who I'm calling the RAWKshire Dipper now by the way following the Peter Sutcliffe lookalike) put Liverpool back in charge.

But that would run counter to the Scouse narrative that VVD is the greatest defender that ever lived, the 'Dutch wall', a centre back of such natural talent that Franco Baresi cries himself to sleep every night cursing his very name.

So I'll guess that they'll be blaming Ramos after all.

Next week could be fun with Liverpool getting their Uefa punishment for City bus attack, fans setting off flares & numerous other indiscretions over last few seasons been taken into account I'm guessing they will have to play games behind closed doors..can't wait to hear what conspiracy theories their fans come up with..

It’s 2 months too late. They should have thrown them out of the competition

The Karius story is on BBC sport now.

Pretty big failing by their medical side to let him play on with a concussion like that. Feel pretty bad for the bloke now, he certainly looked a little dazed.

The report has been concluded by the hospital saying that he did suffer concussion.

Well they should sack their doctors if true. Sounds like they've bribed someone to say a convenient line though.

Is it possible to diagnose that someone suffered concussion so long after the initial injury was sustained?

Fucking win as he’ll hopefully be at Liverpool next season (y)

In other news VVD has been dog shit in the Italy -Netherlands game. Although de Ligt hasn’t been great either.

He's been diagnosed so yes, apparently so.
I only ask as I’ve had it twice before but don’t remember any adverse effects days later.
Having looked it up though
the risk of post-concussion syndrome doesn't appear to be associated with the severity of the initial injury. In most people, symptoms occur within the first seven to 10 days and go away within three months. Sometimes, they can persist for a year or more.
Does raise the question though whether they are trying to take the heat off him whilst putting their medical staff in the firing line, given the flack we took from all quarters with HL the next week could be quite interesting.
Oh well, that’s me educated for the year!
