Liverpool haven't conceded a Premier League goal at Anfield since March now that the best CB in Europe
is playing at the heart of the defence.

That's a stat I heard spouted the other night.

I checked it out - It is true.

Not one goal was scored by either Newcastle, Watford, Bournemouth, Stoke or Brighton in 17/18 or even West Ham on the opening day of the season.

I wonder if they’ve conceded a penalty there since our game against them?

(In the same timeframe we’ve been awarded none)

Our defence is definitely better than theirs. Both starting and on the bench. I include full backs in that to.

Our attacking options are certainly on a par with them to. Hard to separate between Kane, Alli, Eriksen and Mane, Salah, Firminho. We have Son, Lamela and Moura to call on as bench options so I’m not really seeing a gulf in class between the 2 in terms of attack.

Their midfield isn’t anything to shit the bed about either. They lost Can (who was decent) and have replaced him with Keita but have they got a natural DMF destroyer like we do with Wanyama and Dier?

It’s all a bit irrelevant anyway as there’s plenty of other variables to consider other than who’s got the best team but there’s a lot to be said for continuity too.

The difference with Liverpool and the other teams is the insane pace of Mane and Salah. With us now having the option of Lucas and Son, that would add something we have lacked for some time, pace in attack

I think there are two sides to Klopp. Privetly he seems to be a really good guy. Professionally, and especially PR wise, he's a moron. Can't hold it against him. He's doing his very best

The West Ham fan I work with is doing the Lord's work in his trolling of the Liverpool fans in the office this season. Keeps harping on about Salah's penalty against Palace by saying that he's obviously learnt how to fall over from Steven Gerrard, while then following it up with, "You'd never see Spurs or Utd players do that".

Today he's decided to entertain himself by telling them all that he's thought about in depth and, even as a West Ham fan, he would rather see Spurs win the league than Liverpool. He doesn't mean a word of it but they fall for it and get triggered every single time.
