Liverpool have been excellent lately and in the last two games away, against two of the three strongest teams in the EPL, they matched both all over the pitch.

I've been very impressed, they've looked really strong, really cohesive and were very unlucky not to get something from both games.

That midfield three of Lucas, Henderson and Alen many on here would laugh at, but they work really well as a three, all work hard on and off the ball, do simple things really well and in Suarez, Sterling and Coutinho they have a nice balance of tenacity, skill and speed ahead of them to profit from their efficiency.

To get this away from a football debate and back to the nature at hand...It's twice in a month that Brenton has been fucked by Chelsey

They're a team and helped out by no European distractions. Better than I thought they'd be and close losses against sides I'd expect them to lose to don't change that. If they keep beating the sides they should they'll be right up there fighting for a top 4 spot and will likely get it, imo.

Rodgers was furious at the half time shirt swapping, lol.

Seems pretty innocuous though?

Agree with you BC. Lucas, Henderson and Allen don't really get my juices flowing, but as you say they seem to work wel together. They have represented themselves strongly in the last couple of games, but for all this media love in, misfits Tottenham are still just two points off them.

And yet with no European football - enabling them to work on shape and tactics in training, Suarez on fire, They're only a couple of ponts ahead of us...and we've been in crisis.

The lack of European football is undoubtedly a huge advantage. I don't think we were ever in crisis, but many didn't agree.

A Liverpool fans perspective after two straight defeats to direct rivals:

It's not all doom and gloom.
- 6 points off top spot.
- Second best goal difference in the league (which I believe will count for something if it stays this tight)
- all of the top teams apart from Man U played away. Home form will be key
- bossed city away and should have had a pen against Chelsea today as well as against city (without mr "point to prove" sturridge)
- injuries to key players who should hopefully be coming back into the squad soon

Plenty to be optimistic about for lfc fans. Rodgers doing a good job. Just sort the friggin defence out and buy a brick in midfield please!

Just finished watching their 2-1 defeat at the Etihad. They gave a wonderful account of themselves and were unfortunate not to take at least a point.

Seriously, a load of moaners in our fans but who the fuck would want to be a Liverpool fan these days???? Probably have the best player in the world, scored goals like they were throw-ins but if they lose tomorrow, behind Everton, Us and the old enemy breathing right down their necks and that's with us and Utd looking absolute mega shite a few weeks ago while they were probably thinking they were going to return to their rightful place at the top of the pile.

If they do lose tomorrow and go on to fuck up their season, I wish I could find those 2 wankers in the pub who were laying it on thick when Liverpool battered us a few weeks ago, never heard so much shit talked in a two hour period, "we're Liverpool, we deserve to be in the CL, it's a better competition when we're in it" etc etc. Proper deluded idiots.

Tbf they've been shite for the last couple of seasons, their fans will be loving it that they're still in the mix for the first time in ages.

OK the press may have over inflated their chances due to the amount of ex scousers in their midst, however they're having their best season for a while. I have no problem with them doing well as long as it's not at our expense, though I do wish there were far fewer of their ex players shoving their biased opinions in our faces each week.

Fuck you Lawro :finger:
