I really don't see what the issue is. He wants to leave to win trophies, he has been offered a £100,000/week contract which is apparently triple his current contract. He is hardly holding the club to ransom, he just wants to leave and go elsewhere, if it weren't at Liverpool Carragher wouldn't give a fuck, the mans a chump.

I heard, please correct me if I'm wrong, but Chadli has scored more PL goals this season than Coutinho & Sterling added together, if so pmsl

Carragher hit the nail on the head last night.
Sterling is being VERY badly advised and needs to replace his agent (a bit like a certain Welshman maybe).
He has gone missing in all the big games and Carragher thinks that's what Sterling needs to look at, rather than "how much money can I get".
He has 2 years left on his current deal, and needs to get his head down and get on with the job at hand.
If I was in charge at Anfield, I wouldn't be offering him £100k+ either on the back of one good season and one mediocre.
7 goals and 7 assists in 47 games is not worthy of a massive pay rise.

As for destination - he'll end up a Gooner as their marquee signing of the summer.
When Bale, Modric, Carrick, Berbatov, etc have wanted to move on, all the papers and the media thought they were right to be seeking more money and more chances of trophies. Yet now it's happening to Liverpool it's disrespectful and arrogant of the player. Ridiculous.

Sky spend all of their time hoping to see our players leave to the bigger teams, but have their knickers in a twist now that it's happening to Liverpool.

Their midfield is no worse than ours, that's what.
They have a game-changer in Coutinho like we have in Eriksen.
We don't have any players that do anything different to what they have up at Liverpool.

If that is the case, why have Liverpool scored just 51 goals this season to our 57 goals ?
Our top 2 midfielders have scored 21 goals & 7 assists.
Coutinho is a very good player - but he is no good or better than Eriksen. Losing Gerrard & Sterling means losing 15 goals & probably 10 assists a season. There is no guarantee that new players would be any good. Ex - Markovic.
Can ? Can scored 1 goals & is being played as CB most games.

Let me put it this way - There is not a single Liverpool player who has scored 10 or more PL goals this season. We have 3 - Eriksen, Chadli, Kane
Gerrard is their top socrer (8) & Sterling second (7). Take them out then its Henderson (6) & Coutinho (5), Lalllana(5).

Sterling 7 and Coutinho 5, so 12 total to Chadli's 11.

Probably because they never had a regular fit striker.
If Sturridge had been fit they'd have finished inside the top 4.

And despite losing Suarez, not replacing adequately and having Sturridge out most of the season, they're still set to finish above us...
That's the perspective that's needed!

Having spent the previous season and a half hyping up Sterling as if he was on the same level as the likes of Bale and Neymar, they've now changed their tune and are trying to save face by suggesting Liverpool won't miss Sterling.

Prime example being this string of shitwaffle from McNulty. Expect similar from Patrick Barclay in the coming days.

Err... the reason Liverpool could finish ahead is because of our substandard defense.
They have lost Gerrard now...Their top scorer...If they lose Sterling their second best, you cant tell me their midfield will be any better than us...
Sturidge cannot train till sep2015. By the time he comes back, 1/3rd of the season would be over.

I find it very odd that when Sterling is at Liverpool everyone is saying how good he is and media and pundit saying one of the best in the league and one of the top young players in whole of Europe, yet now that he wants to leave they are all doubting whether he would even start in other teams.

Just sounds like a classic over hype them at Liverpool and then when leave just say they are shite.

We don't know who they're going to bring in during the summer.
With Gerrard gone, both Coutinho and Lallana will get to play in their more natural positions.
Rodgers just needs to buy one or two more defensive minded midfielders and a new striker, and they will be scoring from all over the place again.

Not going to laugh at Liverpool until they repeat the buggering up of a potential PL win, or they spunk a load of money and finish 10 points behind us.

They will be buying. We will be buying too.
But would buying solve their problem. Didnt they buy last season too ? Markovic, Balotelli, Lallana for amount spent & what they did have been failures. Last season they had carrot of CL. Now, they are in same boat as us.

Difference is we have 3 well established starters with Lamela, slowly coming into some kind of form.
I really dont understand how their midfield is better after losing their 2 best goal scorers - given buying isnt solving their problems ?

I find it interesting that Sterling can move from QPR so he can become one of the highest paid 15 year olds in England, throws a wobbly when he is 17 and becomes one of the highest paid 17 year old's in the country....now he is 20 and pushing for a move so he can become the highest paid English 20 year old.

Yet the press are talking about how it is so out of character for Sterling to be looking for money.......How exactly is it out of character for Sterling to be looking for money? It has literally been his career path since he was 15 to look for more money.

The liverpool cabal in the press and their fans severely overestimate how youngsters (not from the area) view the club.

Which, of course, is entirely Brentan's fault for being breathtakingly arrogant and thinking he could fix Balotelli.
