Finish outside of Europe and it is not unforseeable that players like Cutinho could seek a way out of Anfield. The attraction of playing for Klopp will only go so far.

They are a very rich club who outbid us on wages for Clyne and Ings and whose income will grow next year with the new stand.

Yes it will but when you look at us hopefully getting CL next season and in a few years almost doubling our capacity I honestly think we'll be in a better financial position.

Commercially, they kill us and will for a long time to come. Ings and Clyne would make the same choice and opt for no European football given the wages on offer.

Undoubtedly, and the lack of relative success in recent years hasn't stopped them from being able to get good sponsorship deals. I just wonder how long can they keep that up?

I grew up and live in north wales where Liverpool has a very strong following and up until recently was a teacher. In my time I saw less and less children declare themselves as fans of Liverpool as City and Chelsea became more popular due to success and the players they could bring in. If their fanbase starts to shrink then they won't be able to secure the big sponsorships. If they can't attract that money then there is less money to spend on players and wages.

Also money for a club like Liverpool will buy you the Bentekes and Ballotellis but whilst they have only finished in a top five place once in the last eight season (and don't forget anything out of the top five doesn't guarantee any European competition) they won't get the true world class players as they will want to go somewhere they can win trophies. That's why i think there top players could look to leave. Why play for Liverpool with good wages when I could go to a Madrid or PSG and have a good wage and actually compete for a trophy and play in the CL?

People talk about us blowing the Bale monies but to me it's balanced out with Lamela Eriksen Chadli.

Yes Paulinho Capoue Soldado failed but imo Liverpool have chucked much money in the bin. Lallana £25M Lovern £20M wow Balottelli Benteke shambles.

Exactly! We might be a few million down, but we didn't blow all the money like its often portrayed.

Klopp's beard is fucking appalling.... Not to mention Adam Lallanna appears to be devoid of any ability to grow a soul patch Sorting out the "strange and weird" would be a step in the right direction.

That's not the reason why they left, it was a protest against ticket prices. Btw, anyone found gif of Kloppos face after Defoes goal? Would love to see that!

Defoe's last minute winner for Liverpool yesterday shows that Liverpool will win the League. It's their year.

Anyone else find the Nivea commercial increasingly funny ?

Buy our face cream...the 9th best team in the country uses it.

Actually I can imagine it selling (being stolen) like hotcakes (hubcaps) in Liverpool as the store security guards won't be able to properly grip the till dodgers as they try to leave the shop...in hindsight it's a brilliant move by the Nivea marketing team.
