Every year Liverpool think that it will be their year, and every year large amounts of people are shitting bricks because Liverpool/City/Utd/Chelsea/Arsenal (not so much) will be soooo much better than last year and leave us in the dust. And every year the Premier League is unpredictable with hardly any of it materialising .... Yet here we are again.

I swear some of you lot should chill and just enjoy it rather than going in to doomsday prophecies.

Does anyone actually think that they'll finish above Man City this season? Personally I can't see it.

Liverpool's problem has been beating the smaller teams not the big ones

Also dont see City being as good as last year for some reason

They have done some good business and have strengthened their first 11 with some good acquisitions. Fairly jealous of their financial position.

Maybe, but....

- Their defence STILL isn't better than ours.
- Salah may not reproduce his spectacular year.
- Let's see how Klopp man-manages a bigger squad.
- Can they live with the pressure of expectancy after spending huge amounts?
- Will Jorginho adapt to a much tougher league?
- I still have questions regarding their mentality.
- Can Klopp cope without 'The Brain' Buvac?

Jorginho joined Chelsea, not Liverpool.

You're probably thinking of Fabinho, and I have serious doubts about him too given how unbelievably bad Bakayoko, his midfield partner at Monaco, adapted at Chelsea.

I totally agree that there are still a lot of questions, particularly the first two points you make. If Salah doesn't score 30 league goals again, who steps up?

Firminho scored 27, Mane 20. They have other goalscorers.

Yeah I'm sure they will still score a lot of goals, don't get me wrong. But whenever Salah misfired or in the games he wasn't involved the team didn't look as threatning.

The point is there are reasons to be wary of going totally overboard about Liverpool, just as there are every single summer.
