Unfortunately, as I mentioned in the other thread, the next game is Bournemouth - theyll hammer them get the GD back up and go on a run. If you had to cherry pick a perfect game - that is the best game you would pick

After Bournemouth they play Newcastle, so not sure about going on a run

Supposedly another horrific injury list

They cry so much with any injuries, Im still in disbelief over all the crying about injuries when VVD was out a couple of seasons ago yet somehow they still managed to pick a far more settled starting 11 than any other team in the league.

If you're going to cherry pick against any one, I suppose it should be Bournemouth.

It’s interesting seeing some of the comments about Liverpool’s squad starting to stagnate. A lot of parallels with how we felt at the end of Poch’s term. Now, I think the difference here is obviously that Liverpool have won (a lot), and they have invested at times (a lot), but really hanging on to players that maybe are on the downswing of their careers/performance may cost them. They seem to be trying to only invest on big signings here and there (Diaz, Nunez, Konate), but they’ve asked so much of their core players week-in and out over what feels like 5+ years, they have to break down eventually. Could be a really interesting few months if they decide to stand pat in the market.

It sounds like Klopp is being a bit Pochettino and only wants to sign what he sees as perfect players.

My Scouse supporting mate is absolutely convinced the are stronger than last season, won't miss Mane one bit and their squad is level with Man cities. It seems a little disrespectful of Mane given how fantastic he's been for several years now.

Losing Mane could be their Dembele moment.

They really don't look right.

Not getting over the line in the PL and CL, playing as many games at the intensity they play at, I think we're seeing some burn out not only physically but mentally as well.

Neville and Carragher go on about Conte being so intense for a couple of seasons before players can't do it anymore but Klopp is very similar. He's had some good longevity at Liverpool but they're stagnating when you look at their squad

If Nunez had been available The game would have been different! He could have played up against the left side of the United defence. I really hope when we play them me target that side.

Mane was easily their best attacker. Terrified me more than Salah has ever done.

Newcastle on the road are a different proposition to Newcastle at St James Park - or at least they have been since Howe took charge. I’d expect Liverpool to win at least 3 of their next 4.

That ought to keep them out of the bottom 3 ;).
