An article I wish I had written and one that shames @guardian and others who recently published awful @ManCity puff pieces. “The Men Behind Man City: a documentary not coming soon to a cinema near you” by @NcGeehan https://medium.com/@NcGeehan/the-me...coming-soon-to-a-cinema-near-you-14bc8e393e06

Truly, if this is the price of dominating the league count me out....not a price I would want our club ever to pay.

IF we get to the promised land of a PL title with Poch, Kane, Levy and the rest it will mean more than a 100 titles would if we were owned by that sordid lot.

And amazingly, the article could have got into a lot more detail on human rights abuses etc.

I posted this on social media and a city supporting ex-colleague started defending. "Football was already dead, blah blah. I'm not sure if this is even true blah blah. All clubs are trying to do it blah blah" I had to remind him that not all clubs are run by a state with terrible human rights records.

I've started to concede that my interest in club football will diminish once this happens. I just hope we can get a few trophies on board before this inevitably happens. The game will simply be for the modern game fan, that's it. Those fans who grow up in and around their club will be lost forever. Think I'll just follow South American football.

His posts read like Alan Partridge wrote them, or something from Brass Eye. But unlike Coogan or Morris he’s clearly not an educated or cultured person and this is actually real and not a parody.. crikey.

Tell me about it. You get thrown in jail now for saying you're English these days. Yes actually, these days arrested and thrown in jail. Yes, for saying you're English.

To be fair, I’d be lying.

Reminds me of a guy I knew at school. Got arrested one drunken night while singing Rule Britannia at the top of his voice. Complained you couldn’t even sing your national anthem anymore. I pointed out that wasn’t his national anthem.

Last I heard he was a copper.

I know we have little to laugh about after last weekend but this is a little off track.

Sometimes on SC people post daft things in the heat of the moment, or post something completely ignorant and are then prepared to look at what they've said once someone else has reasoned with them.

It is therefore heartening to see someone back up one idiotic post with another even more idiotic post to make sure that none of us have any questions as to the mindset of that particular member.

Makes all of our lives much easier. Thanks Sebo_Sek.

I hate Manchester City from the bottom of my heart. Supporting PSG and City means supporting slavery

I put that article on facebook and my one Manchester City mate seemed to like it, though he continues supporting them!

This may be a bit holier than thou but I genuinely would like to think I would stop supporting Spurs if we were owned by these thugs.

No, in Poland they would have told Sterling to respect our beliefs or leave. That is why there is no racism there.

Not enough really. 25 convictions for 37 offences already to his name. Not sure why someone like that is still on the streets at all to be honest.

Actually didn't read the article, just looked for the length of his conviction. Agreed under the circumstances it is not enough.

Anderson, of Woodward Street in Manchester, smiled as he was taken from the dock.

Anyone else immediately think "Thank Gawd for that!" ? :cautious:
