Just seen Haaland might be facing a charge from the FA over his reaction and social media post afterwards. I know the ref made a mistake, but players have been booked for dissent for much less than his (and other City player reactions) reaction. Mainly Maddison when he got booked for putting his hands on his head in disbelief in the Sheffield game!
They went from booking players for just giving the ref a dirty look at the beginning of the season to no bookings for this. At least be consistent.

Pep coming out this early in the season and saying he thinks they will win the league to me shows the pressure is getting to him.

Unfortunately I think Arsenal or Liverpool will win it because it’s so hard for teams to maintain their level after achieving a treble.

Don't worry, we are still having 5 months of games to go. Many things can happen. The scum and liverpool this season really have not convinced me in their play other than being fortunate with some decisions and their injuries. Their European games will really be their greatest challenge. We shall see.

Lol at Haaland. Resorting to self-ridicule now to stop the unwanted attention. Probably great advice by someone else but he himself must be fuming acting to be funny.
I don't know, he seems like quite a humble lad and was probably a bit embarrassed that he lost it like he did.

To me, he comes across as someone who's able to laugh at themselves and I think it's harsh to try and find fault in that response.

He should have been charged for his reaction and tweet. Neither are acceptable when refs need more respect and not less. It might just make them perform better.
He should be in trouble for his reaction because he lost it and players can't be treating the officials like that.
There was nothing wrong with his tweet though.

His family and entourage, Alfie especially, come across as very arrogant pricks at times. But Erling himself, as long as you talk to him solely about football as I literally don't think he has any other interests in life whatsoever, comes across alright most of the time.

It’s the same thing. He’s still questioning the officials. Now any player can do the same thing to a decision they don’t like and avoid punishment. A stupid president.

That's Trump. 😁

I don't think there's anything wrong with questioning officials, as long as it's done calmly and it was a bizarre call by the ref. And all he said was "wtf", which was totally understandable and not abusive.

The whole shouting in his face and effing and jeffing was way ott though.

Is that maybe a defensive mechanism? Like, just being a bit guarded.
Although, I'd think that most 'entourages' are full of pricks and hangers on with attitude.
Surprised about his old man though, if he's included in that because he always seemed quite grounded to me.

It seems like Haaland did get booked for dissent.
Although Emerson getting booked because of Ederson's protests seems harsh!

Absolutely no excuses for what he did, but there's a reason Roy Keane thought "have that you ****" before he snapped his leg in half. I can't say I remember him particularly fondly as a player.

I don't remember him much as a player to be honest, I didn't pay much attention to him I suppose.
I remember him being a bit of a tough tackler but then every team had at least one of those back then, an enforcer, if you will.
Wimbledon had a team full!

i hope they get relegated at least 2 divisions they have cheated and cheated and cheated.

Porro was signed by city from one of the other clubs in the city group

"Porro, 23, revealed he never even trained at the club and when asked if he ever spoke to Guardiola, in an interview with The Guardian, he replied: “No, no, nothing."

he was brought from another club in the city group, and then loaned out then sold, I'm pretty sure he was used as away to raise money around FFP

The story was Keane did his ACL the season before and Halaand stood over him laughing and saying some horrible stuff about hoping he never played again etc. I think Keane has since said he didn't mean to break his leg but he's not one bit sorry that he did, or something like that.

What are you basing this on? There’s very few trebles ever won, and when united did it they followed it up the year after by winning the prem by some margin.

Barca also followed both of their trebles up by winning la liga again.

Bayern Munich have also followed their two trebles up by winning the bundesliga.

In fact the only team who didn’t follow up a treble by winning the league in the last 25 years was Inter.

I find it quite refreshing to see a pundit refer to City, their ownership/funding and the pending charges. They've all kept very quiet about it over the years as if there wasn't anything wrong with this doped up Behemoth dominating the competition.
