I really rate Ten Hag and did want him here back in 21.

But you are right about the transfers.

He has been a bit like Poch and only had his eyes on one particularly player.

I can think of about 10 players who can do what Mount does and wouldnt have cost what they paid.

The Frenkie De Jong chase was odd. I mean, was that the only player who can do what is required?

But then the Antony transfer is on another level.

I thought Antony may be a decent punt for us back in 21 but at 20-30m as he does have quality but at the same time has a lot of significant areas for improvenent.

To then get quoted 80m or whatever it was and not be deterrred is really odd.

There are at least 20 wingers who would have been cheaper and offered more, potentially with a higher ceiling too.

To be so fixed on 1 player is a bit red flag because you are essentially saying "I can't make it work without this one player"

All coaches should be able to work with different types of profile if their preferred option isnt possible.
This is why backing a manager doesn’t work! They have to be good or at least know what it means to play good football and spot a player. A good DOF knows when to say no.

Great idea Gary Neville. Let’s let an independent panel decide on the future of players - that will go down well

To be fair, I do think that in this scenario it probably should have been an independent review. They have a vested interest in wanting him to return (particularly with their troubles up front) so it would be easier for them to read into new "evidence" a different way that someone not connected with the club may do.

We can’t even do VAR properly!

It’s embarrassing that an organisation like Man Utd and their dozens of HR and legal staff can’t objectively investigate a case as important as this.

I was thinking someone completely away from football but agree that it is embarrassing how they’ve conducted it.

Like police, prosecutors, juridical system? If there is a suspected crime, isn't that like up for them?
Yeah in an ideal world, but we’re talking about a case that had already been dropped and them doing their own investigation as to whether to bring him back in.

So we are talking about what is actually some parallel juridical system, not that it is uncommon these days. Don't think that has been generally a good development.

We'll see, they've paid silly money for a player who played alongside Ademola Lookman last season and was outscored both in total goals and minutes per goal. Granted, you'd hope the service would be better from United than Lookman got from Fulham and Leicester.

Somewhere in there should be "Woman's father releases statement playing down the allegations and claiming Woman never meant the evidence to be publicly released".

Shoudln't we add into that that they man/woman rekindle the relationship, woman falls pregnant with his child and doesn't want to see father of said child go to prison?

Mount picked up an injury against us and won't feature until after the international break.

I don't think that'll make them worse.

This is just absolute nonsense, I would expect it from Greenwood to cover himself but the club goes along with it too... extraordinary. "I did not do the things I was accused of... however, I take my share of responsibility for the situations which led to the social media post".

And he wasn't "cleared of all charges" the charges were dropped because the accuser refused to move forward.

Riley isn’t wrong here is she.

Bang on, to be fair. It's been appalling all along, and the way that they try and claim him in some way innocent, despite not being in a position to do so, is actually fucking bizarre. And that's before you get to him admitting mistakes, but also saying that he never did what has been claimed, and then never elaborating on what the mistake were then.

A sorry episode indeed, but thank fuck they finally got over the hurdle even if they've done all sides irreparable damage, unlike another club hanging onto, and playing, absolute scum.
