Nah, with a proper structure they wouldn't have spent huge amount of money on duffers and actually have put together a reasonable squad. Maybe he would have done better, who knows.Another thing I do have to take issue is their fans defending Ten Hag and saying if they had a proper structure in place, Ten Hag would be thriving.
I disagree.
I proper structure in place would mean that Ten hag would have been shown the door by now and they would have easily lined up a replacement.
A proper structure means that the decision makers are much more critical of poor results/performances because they know they are not getting what they were asking for.
They also wouldn't have agreed on Ten Hag's transfer targets.
Are they just waiting on the Ratcliffe sale to be finalised before doing anything?
Can't remember United being THIS bad in my lifetime. Yes they had poor spells after Fergie left, but at least they offered something in matches. I just don't see a game plan or anything when I watch them.
My only other thought is who in their right mind will go there? Again I guess they'll wait for the sale to be done and structure changes that may or may not happen.
At least it worked better than whatever it is they're doing now.Moyes was woeful for them. The only plan they had with him was to lob crosses in to Fellani.

Can't say how he'd be doing under those circumstances, we can only evaluate on how he is doing and managing things now.Nah, with a proper structure they wouldn't have spent huge amount of money on duffers and actually have put together a reasonable squad. Maybe he would have done better, who knows.
Their centre half partnership against West ham was Kambwala (who?) and Johnny Evans. Even at spurs with our centre back woes it has never been that bad. (Ever)
Not defending him, I actually criticised him when everyone on here was saying "I wish Levy had got him" (a year or so back)
His squad has been decimated by injuries this season as well.

Oh dear, how sad, never mind.
There is just so much work to be done at United. Even their “wonder kids” are just a bit rubbish. Garnacho is extremely hit and miss and most of the time is invisible in games, Pellestri is really average, Diallo has just disappeared and Hannibal is very very average.
Then their first team players are quite simply poor. Rashford has done what he does and go back to being a run of the mill winger, McTominay would suit a Fulham or Brentford level, Dalot is poor, Fernandes doesn’t care, and Hojlund looks like a kid playing men’s football.
A whole lot of work to be done, and if they do get their act together it will take 6-8 windows to really build a good squad.
I think SAF has to take some blame for the state he left the First Team Squad in. It was a modern day miracle that squad won the PL in SAF’s last season. I have often wondered if he ran down the quality of the squad to make what he achieved appear even better.
He and David Gill left almost at the same time, I think Fergie might have known that Gill's replacement wasn't up to much either.Or get out at just the right time.
