But in previous games, WH fans said they had not seen any police anywhere in or around the stadium. Someone else said that police went over the bridge to nearby the stadium - someone would have to pay per policeman. (I'm getting this 2nd hand so may be wrong).

The only thing I can think of is some weird risk history between the sets of fans owing to an increased police presence. A lot of teams have strange history for example when PSG go to Chelsea, there is a much higher police presence

Hackney Wick. Started to get a lot of Hammer fans in the area during game day. Almost impossible to go to any of the bars in the area on the day. Luckily the Kenton near by is a Spurs pub (and winner of many awards) so I tend to hang out there, but even so. It's annoying.

I used to drink in The Kenton way back in the early 1980's
