Kumb...

Having just watched the first half of Spuds v City, the difference in energy and pace of the players compared to what I saw yesterday is startling. Even if our players are of lower quality than what I am watching now (and they mostly are), there is no excuse for our players to look so less fit and energetic. Whoever is responsible for our players fitness seems not to be doing his job properly

Hate to say it but I wish that we could play like Spurs

Play like Spurs.
Stadium like Arsenal.
Fans like Chelsea.

The owners dream.

Don't worry, they have the image of sellouts nailed down.

Whisper it quietly because Brady might see it as a marketing brainwave..... they'll superimpose crowd images on the trampolines which could add another 40k Customers to thr attendance figures.

As much as I love this thread, I thought that we didn't care what was going on at West Ham and the rivalry were a figure of their imagination? :cautious:

In a footballing way I couldn't give a stuff, but when they self destruct on such an epic basis, it's pure comedy gold and I wouldn't change it for anything.

Also id say that the olympic park is a tourist attraction which may attract tourists amongst others hence poor attendances or half filled stadiums once they realised what shite they're watching and experiencing.

It is indeed a tourist attraction, this is how it's described in the latest edition of 'The Lonely Planet':

"The glittering centrepiece of London's 2012 Olympic Games, this vast 227-hectare expanse includes the main Olympic venues as well as playgrounds, walking and cycling trails, gardens and a diverse mix of wetland, woodland, meadow and other wildlife habitats as an environmentally fertile legacy for the future. The main focal point is the stadium, with a Games capacity of 80,000, scaled back to 54,000 seats for its new role as the home ground for West Ham United FC".

It sounds absolutely enchanting, a magical and idyllic wilderness that Wordsworth himself would approve of .........but I can't help thinking there may have to be a public health warning of 'avoid at all costs' on matchday for next years edition.

So about ten years ago West Ham switched their attention from their rivals Chelsea to us. Mainly because they figured we were there to be superseded and they could overhaul us.

I'm just wondering now when they are going to switch focus on QPR and Fulham.
