The draw for the next qualifying round is tomorrow. Unfortunately West Ham get to be seeded purely because of their national coefficient so they'll avoid the likes of Dortmund and Bilbao. But they could get Chelsea Reserves or hopefully someone from Kazakhstan or similarly miles away.

Please send them to israel. Would love them to try the hissing noises out there.

If Spam get through they'll have either Inverness Caledonian Thistle or Astra Giurgiu of Romania. SCBC v Chelsea B as well.

Astra should go through against Inverness, look a reasonable outfit on paper, unless the Spammers take them 100% seriously they could get turned over.

Surely we want them to have a good run till Xmas? The old Thurs/Sun games should see them relegated!

I want them to get through. As funny as it would be to see them crash out I want their league form to suffer and their first game in OS to be in the championship.

If they get relegated next season they could literally do a leeds

Now they don't own their stadium starting from next season(so they are losing a big asset which would of helped if any financial issues arise, they can't sell a lease to stadium)
They are spending a lot of money based on the tv money coming in
They have a high wage bill for the championship
They have a lack of homegrown players that are likely to stick around
They also have £92m in loans

Saw an article earlier which said that their fans were booing the team already midweek. Probably fair enough at that result.

I just want them to have the extra group stage games. That will keep them near the relegation places once the season gets under way.

Wouldn't be so sure. It's a tough division and plenty of sides can get sucked in to it. Their form over the second half of last season was relegation form. We know how easy it is to take that form into a new season ( not quite as dramatic but was similar to Ramos at the end of his frist season, start of his 2nd )

They have not improved their side despite all the fanfare from their owners about world class signings.

They probably won't go down but I wouldn't be shocked to see them struggle. Bilic has previous for under-performing.

I think the relegation battle could be really interesting this season.

The promoted sides all played good football and have goals in them. They are all well-organised and will give it a go.

Sides in the bottom half with problems could find themselves in trouble.

Obiang, Payet and Ogbonna are solid signings...you don't need world class players to survive in the Premiership, they may struggle though but this is a different point entirely.

@Ossie85 how good is lanzini? Only ask as westham seem close to signing him.

He can be very very good. It will depend on how he adapts. He's as skilled as Hazard, but maybe physically he lacks for this league. But if Coutinho made it, he could also.
Also a big game player, plays better against the big teams than against the small ones. A bit inconsistent though

Disappointed to see Ogbonna at Wham. He wasn't Juve's level but he's a good player and a tough cookie. Could do well for them. They've made good signings, IMO.
