Daniel Levy, despite having the head of a sucked Malteser, is a quite brilliant and astute businessman and has all 3 of our chair people by the testicles and has done since they took over.

I'm beyond the point where I'm concerning myself as to whether I dislike Tottenham because in a purely objective way I am, undoubtedly and disgustingly, so envious of them at this moment in time.

We will never have a better chance to go past them than we did in the summer. That ship has sailed. They'll continue to get bigger and stronger. We will continue talking cheap and achieving diddly squat.

Something tells me that Levy put a phoney bid in as a favour to our board.

Not only did if give Haringey council a kick up the jacksee, but it sent most of our fans into meltdown about spurs being on our manor, converting them into Pro stadium movers.

Conspiracy theory maybe, but you can tell when Sullivan and Brady are lying as their lips move.

I know, they fail to remember they were lucky last season, scoring pretty much every early shot they had in game at the beginning of the season, which made them think they were better than they were, they fell apart after and had a few great nights as they cheered on watching the club they love die in front of them (their wins against us and Man United). Still, they have a big shiny stadium now and London Hammers exciting times. :)

Daveo claims he has a friend on the board. Not sure if serious or just a troll.

My old man didn't choose to support West Ham because of their great amount of trophies, and nor did I. Our club is about more than that.

You and your boards friends dreams of us becoming another Arsenal can frankly do one. I just want to see us with a team that tries it socks off and excites me. That's why I go to watch football, to get entertained, have a laugh, some banter with opposition fans. Not to worry about where we are in the league table. This to me is what makes our club special.

But hey, let's move onto the next level. It's so important that our owners can make more money right?

You're entitled to your view of course.

I look at my Man City mates who have seen the joy of 2 league titles in the last few years, becoming the superior team in their city, playing the likes of Barc, Madrid and Bayern and watching world class players every week. I want that for my club. City were a similar size club to us with a similar ethos before their takeover and before they moved to the former Commonwealth Games stadium. They are now one of the biggest clubs in world football. Did their fans look dispirited while they outplayed us with skilful attacking football on Friday night ?

Why can't my club aspire to that ? Why should we be content with the odd win upsetting the odds against one of the big clubs ? Why should we accept nearly 40 years without a trophy? Why should I watch my team at Liverpool, Everton, City and United year after year expecting defeat and for the most part seeing the expected outcome rather than having a realistic expectation of winning these games regularly ?

Why can't West Ham aspire to become a power in English football and of course respect our great past and traditions but look at a more successful future ?

A mate of mine is a Spammer who got properly sucked in and blown out the other side by the OS idea. He honestly thought it would catapult them into the big time. They'd be attracting ManC like investment and challenging in the CL and the Prem. I did tell him I thought the OS would be a soulless bowl but he thought it was sour grapes because they won it. The fact he knew I never wanted to move there doesn't seem to matter o_O He's still clutching to the dream by a couple of finger nails but you can see it's finally sunk in that's it's an unmitigated disaster. Not that I'm rubbing it in or anything ;);)

This is total fucking delusion.

It really is! It's based on nothing but wishful thinking. Last season, one of their players would have got in our starting XI, just one.

This season, even Payet would struggle as it stands.

It makes you wonder if they genuinely see themselves as on the same level as us as opposed to a team that nearly always finishes way below us, never qualifies for Europe, has worse players and managers and has won fuck all. I still maintain they are more deluded than Liverpool and Newcastle fans. At least with their clubs the potential is clear to see.

during the Euro's failings and 1 of the England friendlies a fellow taxi driver enjoyed texting me to let me know the Spurs players where letting the country down, he even slipped in 66:ROFLMAO:

he hasn't replied to many of my text this season, i wonder why:ROFLMAO:

last 1 i sent was

"You should be able to get a season ticket next season, and pretty cheap! at the moment there is a big % not going to renew, and the rest go home once your 3-0 down".

It pains me to say this but it's my opinion that they didn't dodge a bullet, they merely got involved in the whole Olympic stadium affair so as to load a bullet into our boards gun so they may shoot themselves in the foot. Spurs surely never wanted the O/S, they just didn't want us to have it in a way where we had some level of control over it.

Sully and co' had their pants pulled down good and proper over the stadium.

They're beginning to realise they were Levy'd :) They are really gonna lose their shit when they turn up at the new Lane.
Better hope they get a cup draw then, that's the only way they will get to play at the new Lane..

Their **** fans can't go 5 minutes without mentioning hitler. I would want them to go down but then I would miss the joy when we smash them. I enjoy spending match day, telling them what ****s they are.

Apart from not knowing the difference between Crystal Palace and Ally Pally, this Hammer is spot on.

But they didn't dodge a bullet ... they gave us a complete heads up on the ***** we're now neck deep in ... Levy told the LLDC it wouldn't work, why it wouldn't work, and what the best alternative was ... our Trio listened to all this and ignored him for their 'deal of the century'

Here are some paraphrased pieces from the Spurs final presentation ... which I guess was rejected because the LLDC had found some complete idiot to take on their White Elephant ... that would be us ...

Spuds in response to the LLDC's concerns about legacy athletics events proposed that Alexandra Palace be refurbished as a permanent home for London athletics ... they stated that the OC was unfit for football and to large and expensive for regular athletics ... as part of their proposal Spurs would co-fund the improvements at Ally Pally.

Spurs stated that the OC was a temporary structure and that the cost of refurbishment was prohibitive and would not create a modern football stadium they added that this would not represent a financially viable option for the football club or the landlord.

Spurs proposed the demolition of the old site and the building of a new stadium ... all at their cost.

Spurs stated that leasing was not an option as any club would require 365 day control of the assets, management, facilities, and match day operations ... any club but us

So Spuds told the LLDC it wouldn't work, even told them why, they gave them an option which would have saved the taxpayer 230m and given them a new permanent London athletics facility ...

Along comes our Trio and somehow convinced the LLDC to spend 230m on a dog pile, to lease a 700m asset for 2.5m a year ... and then their greatest con ... to convince WHU fans that it was all for the good of the brand and not their wallets ...

Spuds must be laughing their b*llocks off .... but they didn't trick us ... they feckin' warned us ... we were just to blind to see .....[/quote]

they need to stop spending money on shit like Zaza (5m loan fee), Gokhan Tore who the fans say is fat and clumsy and Ayew (20m?!). They need a proper goalie. And to actually think about the team instead of bragging about how much they are going to spend on a striker. The cost doesn't automatically equal quality.

They got rid of their scouts though didn't they. Wasn't there an article saying they'd sacked someone who'd worked for them for 30 years and he didn't get a present or anything.

Could have been a youth coach or scout or something.

Highly unlikely given the animosity between the two clubs. Why they would ever contemplating doing us a favour is beyond me. Agree with the phoney bid though - they would never have moved to Stratford even if they allowed to flatten the Lego bowl.

DL played a blinder, great negotiating and got the best deal for Spurs. Made mugs out of the 3 stooges.

Spurs will have one of the best grounds in the world with improved transport links. They're pumping in a severe amount of their own money but it's being done properly.

Tony Carr, I think. Not sure he's their whole scouting dept, but it was a shitty way to treat someone. He had already been replaced in 2014, but this was him leaving completely.

That poster is right. Spurs said it was unfit as it was, & athletics wouldn't fill it again. That a shared tenancy wouldn't work without pitch rotation etc... But we didn't warn them, we put forward the best bid and were stitched up when the changed the weighting of the "legacy" from 5% to 50% (or something quite ridiculous) and the financial weighting dropped from 25% to 5% (or similar). It was a farce and no wonder Levy lawyered up and got the 99 year no touch running track inserted.

My spammer mate disputes that there is a legal requirement to keep the running track. He claims that once the World Championship is over they will be able to redevelop. Anyone got a link to show that there is such a clause. I am loving winding him up and just want to make him understand that they are stuck with that shithole.

UK athletics have a 50 year lease for the stadium.

] In July 2013, UK Athletics received a 50-year deal for the use of the stadium.[156] UK Athletics will have access to the stadium every year from the last Friday in June until the end of July.[157]
