Certainly true this season. But Southampton Schneiderlin was the best CM in the league. If we want to push on in all competitions next season then options are what it's all about.
New manager will use him. Mourinho for example will love him

He's been badly managed at united. Under poch again he would be a helluva player.

We should be turning the tables on this talk of United signing Poch and spurs players. As above, spurs should be cherry picking them. Not LVG though. You can keep him and most of the squad acuallym but there's some talent in there.

Depay looks likely to leave especially if Mourinho comes in. Likely he'll go out on loan, but I'd consider buying him.

I've not been impressed I'm afraid, pretty sure he'd have to up his game to impress Poch, mind you I guess he's not had much to work with this season.

If he was playing under Poch quite sure we'd see the polar opposite of his form right now.

Having watched him at PSV he has A LOT more to give and I'd 100% be willing to take the chance.

Who would we honestly want though?
Mata appears to have lost it, Rooney? Schneiderlin? Even their supposed best player, De Gea, wouldn't get in our starting XI ahead of Lloris...

I tend to agree. Although I think Schneiderlin / Delph would be different prospects under Poch. Martial too.

Although won't be worth the transfer fee United would want.

My Utd mates just CANNOT handle it. They don't understand it, can't fathom it, they watch their results unfolding with the dumbstrucken faces
Was chatting to a Utd supporting mate and he still can't work out why they haven't signed Neymar & Zlatan yet

nah, don't need another mid-table squad player

Under Poch?

I think he'd do for us what he did for Soton and he'd rotate well with Dier.

Having said that, I doubt we'd go for him unless Levy gets a hugely reduced price.

It would be hilarious if we did though and he found his form again.

Yep that's their problem. Everyone of those players they are linked with wants to play for LvG but he can't decide which 6 or them he wants first.

I'll never forget the exchange I had with a Utd fan (born late 1980s) in the summer when Moyes took charge at Old Trafford.

We were discussing the coming season and I said that apart from Chelsea, who I thought were nailed on to do well under Mourinho again, I thought the rest of the Top 4 could be any 3 from 5 (City, Arse, Spurs, Liverpool and, obviously Utd). The Utd fan's response has remained etched in my memory ever since. Word for word he said:

"You can't tell me it's not guaranteed that Utd will finish in the Top 4".

"Guaranteed". Not "likely". Not "probable". He said "guaranteed".

They finished 7th that season and I'll laugh every time they finish outside the top 4. Arrogant pricks.

Guys, please do not descend into the Schneiderlin is shite chatter that these clueless gloryhunters are coming away with. For fans that have gorged on perennial success and been spoiled in every single way possible for a modern football fan, it is understandable that they would be mindless, impatient spoiled brats.

When a player is getting rotated into a team once in every 2-3 games and being surrounded by a string of underperforming players playing a style of football they don't want to, in a system that is antiquated and ill designed for the personnel they have and the league they play in, what do you expect to happen ?

If Schneiderlin had been playing for us this season he would literally be ripping the place up. As much as I love Dier, and I do love Dier, he'd probably be dominating in our midfield even more than Eric has been. History shows how good a player he is under the correct manager/tactics where he plays every week and gets his flow on.

If there was even a sniff of securing him for sub 20m from an impatient Man Utd, I'd be biting that hand off and more than likely working my way up into tucking right into that wrist and arm.

It's the same schtick as wondering why Bentaleb doesn't just slot in after 4 months injured and perform like he did at his peak last season etc etc

Dominic Ball has been playing DM at Rangers and getting good reviews.

He's 21, hungry and one of our own.

I'd say Poch and the team are likely to be keeping a close eye on him for the rest of the season.
