You could be right.
Maybe we should ship him out to Sunderland with our other rejects. A swap for big Anton could be on the cards??????
(plus cash to them obviously)

You do realise I have vowed a slow and painful derth for the first person to make a transfer link between us and that retard, dont'cha:shrug:

IF (and a mega monsterous IF) he was allowed to leave...for £50 Billion, or whatever, it would signal the END of THFC...and well it should! The Club has the richest of traditions, not only in UK, but also worldwide. We have put up with enough amateur management and club 'mish-mash' to heat a small country! Modric is a class performer and, irrespective of what, HE, the player, wants....the Club needs to keep it's KEY asssets 'on board' and fully committed to regaining CL Competition, next term. I am never quite comfortable with Levi's real ambition....from a Football perspective, never mind a Business one. There again...I am the perfect example of a loyal Spurs Fan who 'can' be brainwashed...if enough negative Info is thrown my way haha!
So....we all want what is best for the Club...either way....but...WHAT is that...Can of worms #opener' needed...but NO press need apply? COYS!

Agree with the two posters above but would like to add that for £50 billion I would not think twice about selling Modric.

Every player has a price tag so there's always the possibility that he'll leave

But since the player himself seems happy to stay (unlike Berbatov, et al) I doubt Tottenham's valuation will mirror potential buyers' valuations

To Tottenham Modric is worth upwards of £40+ million if you take into account his influence on and off the pitch, and the difficulty it would be for us to get a replacement on the same relatively small wages

To buyers he's probably worth around the £25million mark, so unless he instigates a move I could see the price tag as a problem

CHELSEA are ready to offer Luka Modric £130,000 a week to defect to Stamford Bridge.

That is almost triple the Croatian's £50,000-a-week White Hart Lane wages.

And the Blues are hoping that their mega-money deal will convince the £15million -rated playmaker to cross the capital.

Chelsea want to add some much-needed flair and creativity to a squad that ended the season empty handed.

The Spurs star, who still has three years on his current contract, is one of their top summer targets along with a right-back and a flying winger.

A Chelsea insider said: "Not having a manager yet won't slow anything down.

"There's a hitlist of players to sign and Modric is right at the top of it."

Blues skipper John Terry is confident new faces will give his side a lift.

Terry said: "We made two fantastic signings in January in Fernando Torres and David Luiz. They have really freshened the club up, and hopefully there will be some more new signings."

therell be a tottenham hotspur long after modrics retired.

Much as I love Modders, see it as vital that we keep him,and get wound up by the whole issue to the point of issuing unsubstantiated threats in the general direction of Daniel Levy if he is sold, this is very true.

 that is a shockingly bad article who hires the people who write this shite?
it's almost like he was on a wind up

Or making a concerted effort to collectively unsettle our players, no matter how inaccurate the source is, or how obviously bogus:roll:

When Modric leaves he'll be seen to get on a golden chariot which will carry him to the Shelf in the sky.

I still have a feeling he will be sold. Probably this time next year, but I would not be overly surprised if he went this summer. Seen it all before.

Was thinking this whilst on the john this morning...

Fabregas leaving would rock Arsenal, but they have Ramsey & Wilshere to step into his role. Who do we have if Modric leaves...? Worrying. Very.
