If we really sell ten, we'll have to bring in 5 or 6, and promote at least two from the academy. Such a big change may involve another 3 to 4 months in moulding them into a team.

Tottenham are planning a major overhaul and will sell up to 10 players this summer, with the club ready to take a huge financial hit on high profile flops.

Every year at about this time, we hear how Spurs (and every other club in the league) are planning a "major overhaul". It's pure clickbait.

How many will be starters? If it's only a couple then we can hit the ground running.
Soton did this season. Just get the right fucking players.

Did Levy really signal Poch from his VIP lounge at WHT with a green light and the goal.com correspondent must have seen it?

I don't see that Vorm has done anything wrong, and I doubt he will be sold.
He doesn't play much because he was signed as Loris's number 2, not because he "isn't in the managers plans".

I'm confused, did Greg Stobart (known to have good sources at WHL) say something totally outlandish and ridiculous or did his article pretty much nail what we all want and hope to happen in the summer?

I appreciate that some of it may be speculation but instead of assuming it's BS, I'm gonna say that I enjoyed reading that article and will very much hope it's accurate.

Just a lot of conjecture.

Our summer transfer activity will depend on the offers we receive for our players and if they receive a wage offer that is acceptable to them.

We can't just sell the players we want to.

Yes. He was wearing a split-crotch onesie. Poch was naked but for a small star of David where the sun don't shine. I have photographs for the highest bidder.

When Levy's time is up, the watchword for his reign will be 'overhaul'.

The club has switched tracks more times than an InterCity.

Director of Football to Manager, back to Director of Football. Fancy overseas manager to experienced Englishman, back to fancy 'progressive' overseas manager.. new scouts, new coaches, new focus on youth, or English players, or players with sell on potential, or spending big money.

I hope we're a bit more sane than the article suggest, and that there's some sort of plan for players like Fazio and Stambouli. I think they've both deserved more playing time than they've gotten.

I also feel like Capoue have been given up far too easily. Unless he's really creating a stink behind the scenes, his performances have in no way (in contrast to Kaboul and Adebayor) warranted the castaway status he now has.

We are an absolute joke and the people in charge, simply haven't a clue what they are doing.

wonder if Baldini will survive the cull, not sure we need him any more

More than ever before, we can easily sell/retire 9-10-11 players without weakening the squad at all. Buy 1 for every 2 we sell, and promote the rest needed. I'm good with that.

Outgoings with no specific impact on the squad compared to match day squads over the last weeks (or months).

Friedel
Kaboul
Chiriches
Capoue
Paulinho
Lennon
Holtby
Carroll
Adebayor
Soldado

Positions needing strengthening from outside the club:
CB, CM, AM, FW

Additional possible outgoings with a slight, but not severe harm to the squad:
Dembele
Townsend
Lamela

He seems to be a glorified negotiator. Basically an agent on the books. Which might be useful if he can get deals over the line.
