Looks like Dear Leader may be starting to make some moves. Villas-Boas should have a good reference from Levy's pal Jose too:

DANIEL LEVY was turned down by Jose Mourinho when he left Chelsea, but one of his protégés could still end up at Tottenham.

Andre Villas Boas is on Levy's radar as a replacement for Harry Redknapp if he quits to manage England.

Villas Boas has a staggering 85 per cent win record with Porto, who beat Spartak Moscow 5-1 in the Europa League in midweek.

I certainly think he'll be a manager in demand, not least his connections with Mourinho.

Think he was being lined up for the Liverpool job should the owners decide Dalglish isn't the man to take them forward but I think they will reward him with a contract.

Yes - Liverpool and Inter both seem keen.

Has anyone seen that leaked scouting report of his while he was with Chelsea? It was about Newcastle iirc and the depth of analysis was incredible.

I'm not taking much notice of this story but if Harry was to leave next year and this guy was still available then he should be towards the top of our list, atleast the guy can speak bloody English.

Bayern Munich have just ditched van Gaal, apparently.

Funny, I was looking at odds earlier on for the next manager at Spurs and his name surprisingly didn't pop up and baring in mind this list did include Garth Crooks at 500-1!

Yeah, bit of a funny one. Like Ferguson a few years back, it kind of became untenable once he announced he'd be leaving at the end of the year.

Would be happy with either Villas-Boas or van Gaal - the new Mourinho or the original Mourinho.

Eh?

Van Gaal and VDV know eachother from when he coached the Dutch team and became technical director of Ajax later. They clearly have nothing against eachother, in fact VDV debuted under van Gaal in Oranje.

Please know your history, Louis won La Liga in his first 2 seasons. Something you haven't done since Cruyff, so looks to me that the 2 managers inbetween did something wrong unlike van Gaal.

Didn't realise he is only 33.

He's a top top manager but we just don't have the wages. If the top managers get offered a £150,000 a week at Manchester City they are not going to come to Tottenham for £60,000 a week, are they? Their wage bills are far in excess of ours. You only have to look at Man City’s manager and it’s absolutely frightening.
