Enough there is president. when Liverpool won champions league there was an extra place granted. Same should apply here. If this was taken to court any judge or arbitrator would find in our favour.

Chelsea have no right to the place. They finished 6th. They put out not their best squad to rest players for the champions league. Fine they won it so be it. 2012 champions league has nothing to do with qualifying for 2012-13. Abramovich and Chelsea should have the decency to say that they didnt earn it and not contest it and take the europa league place that their fa cup win earned their club.

Maybe we should focus the time on money on looking at new signings instead of in court. The rules were set out - granted the rules make fuck all sense but they were laid out and there's nothing we can do.

Won't happen unfortunately, money talks in the halls of power and we haven't got enough to change anyone's mind.
When FC Sion took FIFA/UEFA (I forget which) to the Civil Courts over Europa League disqualification earlier this season, the Swiss FA was leaned on and they were threatened with expulsion from their domestic competitions as a result.
Corrupt bullies in charge of the world game I'm afraid, no one has done anything about it and neither The Premiership, nor the FA will fight our corner with us.

Platini and UEFA don't want more English clubs in the Champs League.

Do some research please, you have Youtube if you can't be assed to read.

And no, I will not post links.

Going to court would be futile and a waste of the club's time, money and would damage our reputation.

I think the club needs to lance the boil, look forward and realise that we are at square one again AND this time the problem needs to be attacked wholly and for the long term.

Chelsea deserve to defend their trophy. Tottenham deserve to be in CL cause we finished 4th. Whether something can be worked out, I doubt it. Maybe some team in the qualifiers will field an illegible player of go into administration but it is a very long shot. I certainly couldn't feel any worse than I do right now. Feels like the whole world is laughing at Spurs. Again.

No point in anything like this, am devastated but we knew the rules but we blew it when we didn't finish third. It just hurts more than normal cause it's Chelsea, actually it would have hurt whatever.

precedent applies in most legal cases. Very easy to prove here when they gace Liverpool a extra place.

why do they deserve anything???? They did not finish top 4. They knew they would not. rested players for the champions league ANd screwed the system.

LEVY STEP UP AND AT LEAST SEEK LEGAL ADVICE

Nothing can be done, nothing will be done, we just need to forget about it. This season wasn't a failure because none of us expected 4th but the way we got it, was a completel shambles by Harry and the players.

Would I be sad to see Harry and a few of those "stars" leave? No but who cares, this summer will probably be just as emotional as this past season, I am sure we will still try for those big names but most likely fail. Perhaps we could attract some of the more "dumb" footballers by convincing them we finished 4th and we are in the CL.

Won't happen. Check our Official Website, we've already accepted the situation.

We need to forget it and move on. I'm grieving tonight, but not because Chelsea's win lost us a place in the Champions League. I'm grieving because the scum became the first London club to lift the trophy. I'm greiving because that utter shit Abramovich has finally got the trophy he wanted by tearing up the idea of doing one's best on a level playing field.

But the truth of the matter is, WE lost our place in the Champions League. For the last few weeks, we've been expecting others to do things for us: the FA, West Brom and then Bayern Munich.

Isn't that a shame? Isn't it better if we win or lose by what WE do?

Were Daniel Levy to drag Spurs through the courts (which I seriously doubt he will), it will tarnish us. It will make us a laughing stock. The rules regarding CL winners has been around for a few years now. Those who bemoan it are being disingenuous UNLESS they bemoaned it when we weren't affected by it. To moan about something only when it affects one is shallow and lacks integrity.

I'm upset tonight. But who should I be most upset with? Arsenal because they bridged the 10 point gap? West Brom because they failed to beat Arsenal? Chelsea because they won the Champions League? Shouldn't I really be upset about our failings, whatever the cause may have been?

Yes, we have been royally fucked this season on a number of occasions. But the mark of a true winner is one who wins even in the face of adversity. Chelsea are the antithesis of that. A mediocre club who think that their money makes them a somebody. Man City - a bunch of losers who won the lottery. Fuck them. They have pissed on the idea of fair play and honourable competition. And even with those parasites in the our League, we still challenge them.

That's what will make our triumph all the sweeter when it finally comes. That we did it without having to BUY our success. That we had to put up with the so called bigger clubs constantly feasting on our best players. Constantly having to watch our transfer targets go elsewhere. When it comes, we can celebrate in the knowledge that we did it the best way.

And fuck the rest!

We could argue this, but frankly i don't see the point as i doubt we'll get the verdict in our favour. It made Liverpool look shitty - but then again it got them what they wanted.
