Erikson, holtby, lamela behind lone striker and we'll see the best of him and whoever the striker is

Well, other than the fact that Eriksen should be behind the striker, with a proper LW in the line-up. But yes, other than that, you are spot on.

He's got better vision and range of passing than even eriksen and the best in our squad. Considering our severe lack of players like this I think he's very useful

It would look more like

----Soldado/Ade-----
---Eriksen/Chadli---Lamela/Townsend---
-----Holtby/Siggy------
----Moose/Bentaleb---Capoue/Sandro---
With Eriksen and Lamela given the free role to attack and float around. While Lewis would work as the link between midfield and attacking third, it would allow him to drop back and support the CM's and also allow him to drive up and impact the attacking play.

Holtby reminds me of Jamie O'Hara, nice guy with plenty of heart but too slow and doesn't have enough talent to compensate for it.
I think we should sell him.
I know this opinion isn't going to go down too well with the gay community here but guys its only my opinion...........it doesn't matter that much.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Holtby said he believes his own best position will be the deeper lying central midfield player... not in a Sandro win the ball kind of way, but dictating tempo and picking out that incisive pass role....
makes sense really, has the work rate and stamina to play in the middle, and clearly has an eye for a pass.. think he lacks something as a number 10.. in comparison to say Eriksen or Lamela.. but would love to see him at least given an opportunity in the middle.

Likeable guy - would love it to come good for him at Spurs

I think that petty well sums up the general feeling about him across the wider fan-base. Love his positivity, but I would like him to be a bit more goal hungry, he has a terrific shot in him.

If we play those 3 behind a lone striker we won't finish in the top 8.

I think this comment has a lot of potential. Gonna say 20 'dohs' by the end of the day at least.

And before anyone gets any funny ideas, I'm not talking about my comment :shifty:

I think we'll see more goals if the manager takes him to one side and says "Right, this is your position [whichever it may be], train hard to do XYZ, don't be afraid to shoot even when a pass might be on, and I'm giving you 7 or 8 games to prove yourself. Get out there and have fun".

He just needs some clarity on his role in the team and then given a run of games.

i don't think he has the long passing range for that although his short passing game is pretty cool - just lacks consistency.

Yeah, Lewis is a good character, but he needs to stop being such a nice guy ON the pitch. He needs to become more ruthless and arrogant on the pitch, he's got the ability to back it up IMO.

well the Argies are trained in the dark arts and Poch was a CB...maybe he can pass some tips on

Sell no one until they have had some time with the new manager........a good coach can work wonders.
