I'd like to add my voice to those expressing reservations about using only the 4 current screens.

On Sunday we were in the North stand, and studied them specifically with this in mind.

There's no way that it's possible to watch a 90+ minute game from the other end 100 yards away. They're only just Ok for the few seconds they currently use them for.

Does anyone think they are watchable from the side stands ?

It would be good if someone has an email or other means of contacting the club to tell them of our reservations ?

Thanks

I sit in the East Lower and they are very watchable from there.

What about the THST? Anyone a member? They take up things like this don't they.
The last thing you want is to travel hours to the ground and find you can hardly watch the match. Clarification definitely required.

I checked out the views of the screens on Sunday with the CL final specifically in mind. They are unwatchable from my seat. I'm west upper, and both screens at the left and right corners from my seat are part obscured by the roof. The ones on the left and right corner on my side are distorted as they are being viewed at too much of an angle.

It's a no from me. Even if I was to sit further down, say west lower, the screens are too small for me personally to be able to enjoy the game.

I considered a pub, but I couldn't think of a single pub I'd like to watch the game at, there isn't any that spring to mind. So I've decided to have people round my place. I have a 65 inch TV, will be far more comfortable. We will have to sacrifice some of the atmosphere but maybe we will make our own in my living room.

Unless anyone has any recommendations for a really good pub with big TV's that will be showing the game.

Some have overlooked a detail whilst talking about how we're going to display it.
The audio.

Are we going to play the BT Sport commentary? Or the THFC in house commentator? Or nothing.

I don't think the internal screens are such a big deal. We have to consider at present over a third of the screen real estate is utterly wasted an a huge score. Always thought this was a ginormous waste of space. We know what score is. A dedicated scoreboard would be best, if at all required.

From my seat in block 530 I can see all I need to see on both south screens. I don't need to look all the way to the 2 screens in the north at the other end of the stadium.

Oh God. The thought of that in house Spurs TV commentator could be enough to make me think of watching somewhere else. His voice and commentary grates on me like you wouldn’t believe. But then the alternative is fucking MacManaman. Christ.

Makes the BT Sport Plebs seem tolerable.

The person you're probably talking about is Daniel Wynne (always shouting - grating voice) but they've changed him recently for somone better who sounds more natural.

Having been sat centrally and up near the top of the North stand on Sunday, I couldn’t see the top half of the screens in the south corners due to the projecting steel around the lip of the roof. Definitely seats to be avoided.

Big screens facing each stand from the centre circle would be ideal.

Jenas usually does our games on BT Sport. Fingers crossed that he gets picked.

You may wanna narrow down the location a bit there fella

If we have to sit it could be terrible. My best view of a screen is to my right in the south stand but i often have to lean forwards to get a unobstructed view.

You seem to have forgotten who we’re playing. They’ll probably draft Carragher in as additional guest commentator.
Almost certainly

And unless they are winning 10-0 he will almost certainly manage, with a highly constipated expression, to slip in '.... not good enooof for Liverpoowel Foochball Cloob'

It'll likely be a three man team. Fletch, JJ and Maca. Neutral and one from each side. That's how I'd do it.

Screens are easily viewable from centre of North Upper (515) but would either be twisting for the whole game to see the bigger ones either side/behind or watching a smaller version at the other end of the ground.

Main things I’m hoping for on next update:
# allowing season ticket holders to purchase guest tickets
# big screen in centre of NFL pitch
# no live game so allowed to bring beers down to our seats
