Liverpool just showed us exactly how to play against Dortmund.

They also played very well against us at Anfield at the weekend.

Klopp seems to be really getting them in a good shape and he hasn't even bought any players yet!

Is Klopp a better manager than Potch or does he just know how to play against his old team and are they a better team than us tactically under Klopp?

Discuss...

Yeah so much better they let a 2-0 lead to Southampton slip last week

So much better that they're currently locked in a battle for Europa League qualification with Stoke

Pants thread is pants.

No, and that's why they always had more chance of getting past Dortmund than us, because they can give it their complete focus whereas league games either side of the Dortmund games were far more important to us.

I think Klopp is a good manager, and it's gradually starting to show.

They're certainly not better than us. We haven't collapsed in a league game anywhere near as badly as they did just a few weeks ago against Southampton, and they had to play out of their skin to get a point from us at Anfield. We weren't really clicking (credit where it's due - in part down to them), but we still looked the more likely to win it at the end.

We're level with Liverpool on points over the last six games, in a period where we have played much tougher games (with a lot more riding on them).

We have a significantly better record in every category in the league than them, will finish above them again, and whilst they will improve next season, our much younger team will be even better due to familiarity and experience.

Is this thread really just based on their first team drawing against their manager's former team, when our second string got thrashed?

Over the season they've not been better but right now I'd say they're looking worryingly good for the future. Them under Klopp + Man.City under Pep next year, going to be very tough for us.

Poch got it wrong in Dortmund. Everybody including himself is aware of that. He'll learn from it.
Had we stayed in Europa league, two more games against these Liverpool wrapped around the manure match. It would've have been extremely draining for the squad. As it turned out, probably wasn't the worst decision to play B team against Dortmund. The game against Manure is so important.

I'd rather be in our position then there's

Just because they've hit a bit of form doesn't mean they've suddenly turned the corner, they haven't got the consistency yet.

This thread is just unnecessary gas, yeah Liverpool played well where they drew 2 matches and now they're better than us

Fuck outta here :D
