Liverpool are they better than us?

Liverpool aren't on our level in terms of individual players, depth, academy, scouting, finances and fans. They're a glorified mid table club with good performances here and there. Having said that I think Klopp is a top top manager but we are a better club in almost every football element bar history :(

I think Poch is a top manager (head coach!!!), too. The difference, as I said above, is that Poch has shown that he can handle the increased competitiveness from the BPL, where even top teams have to be at their best or bottom teams can and will take points off them. This has been an Achilles Heel to so many highly rated overseas managers who have taken over English teams. Klopp has yet to show that he can handle that.

Klopp beat a team he knew very well; he has proven he isn't that great in the PL.

Were sitting with the best team in England and yet people still question it or what others are doing. Sigh. Thank god its Friday.

I think what Liverpool have that we don't is Coutinho

I would swap many of their players for ours, but he has genuine magic in his feet, and that's the main thing that I think we're missing - an AM who can conjure something up out of nothing. Eriksen is our best in this regard, but generally (Palace goal aside from Alli) in AM we do miss that.

It's area we should look to address in the summer. If they get CL football and get Gotze, they'll be some prospect next year, which I'd rather didn't happen
Coutinho is massively inconsistent and quite frankly Eriksen is a better player. He just dribbles less, othewise he's better at just about everything.

I think even a non-homer Liverpool fan would tell you that. One of my friends at work is a Liverpool supporter and when I talked to him about the game and how well Coutinho played he just rolled his eyes and said, "yeah too bad he only does that once every three games".

I dare say you're right but I dont think they would be ok with finishing 2nd to Leicester city either.

Erm, what?

I see this sort of thing coming up a lot, about how we must be gutted to finish second behind Leicester as if the premier league this season has just been us and them. Did none of the other teams take part this year then? If you don't think they'd be okay with finishing 2nd to Leicester, then they must be reeeeally not be feeling too good about being 7 places behind them!

The question should be, how other clubs feel about not even getting a crack at the title least we have given it a go, (if we don't win) and we have shown massive progress, league wise city, arsenal, Chelsea, United, Liverpool cant't / very very unlikely to win the league with 5 games to go.

SERIOUSLY???????
One decent result and they are better than us?
Back in your box.

Credit where it`s due Liverpool were fantastic against Dortmund and we were embarrassing there is no argument..

People need to get real we have a very good team but we need to realise it can be improved a lot and a fit Sturridge and Coutinho would 100 percentage improve us..

Both good players but neither would suit our system at all.

Yep would much rather finish second to Leicester than 6 places behind them.

Any team that has Sakho in their starting 11 can't be better than us. That's like us, last season when we played fazio, thinking we were better team than City.

Sturridge looks so bloody lazy, granted I haven't watched much of him but no way would he work in our side.
Sturridge is class. I think if we could solve his injury issues (a massive if, but Poch's medical team are becoming renowned for their ability to prevent muscle injuries) he'd be willing to walk over burning coals for Poch.

Both clubs have huge history attached to the clubs (something Liverpool seem to forget for us). Liverpool have had better seasons than us, but in the last decade, we have been alot more consistent and better than them!

Even if they with the Europa it won't change the fact they are well below us in the league...again.

Dortmund got rapped up in the occasion and played into Klopps hands.
Liverpool are improving are they better?
The table says no!

It been a very topsy-turvy season in the EPL.
Its 'the' question of the season for all Spurs fans. How good are we?

IMHO bloody good, but shame about the slow start to the season.

They are going in the right direction but we are better at the moment. I think they will be very strong next season.

I've got a few Liverpool supporting friends and yes they are not happy about it at all but they are optimistic about the future with Klopp at the helm and very happy about being in the semi's of the Europa.
I would have had a lot of fun if we had played them in the quarters and beat them, alas it wasnt to be.

Well I'd rather be in our position than theirs. Our future is brighter ;)

I would rather be second in the league than 8th in the league but Liverpool's position isnt that bad, if they win their game in hand they will go to 6th place, 2 points behind united and 6 points behind city and Arsenal. Our future does look brighter but we need to turn that promise into success, while we have the opportunity.
