Got to say.... for all the panicing about our CFs, I'd rather start the season with them than rely on Glenn Johnson and Jamie Carragher in DEF.

They were pretty awful weren't they. Vålerenga, a club mid-table in the Norwegian league this year, dominated them. An 18yo on Vålerenga's left wing, Håvard Nielsen, tore Johnson to bits all game. Liverpool were better at set pieces, all their three goals came from corners, but other than that they were crap. Vålerenga deserved better than 3-3.

Liverpool believe they have done good buys this season, but they will regret it. They have not got good value for money. All players have been overpriced, and they are not top quality players. More average.
