I like the banter with Alan Shearer though. It was a big mistake for him to take over in these circumstances. Luckily for him, he'll be leaving in a few weeks.

LMFAO. I think Lucas scoring against anyone is a sign of bad things.

I think I'm going to put a tenner on Boro for next monday. Neither team are looking good, but I don't think I could put a penny on Newcastle to win between now and the end of the season.

iirc, one or two on here wanted him to sign for us. Ì really hope that will never happen.

There's no place for thugs in football.

Barton was caught without a ticket on a train to Cambridge a couple of weeks ago. It can't get any worse - can it ?

Joey Barton is a thug. He doesn't belong in the English Premier League. He'll never change and i hope we never see him in this League again. Whether its with newcastle in the Championship, or if he goes abroad.

We will because despite his misgivings he's a talented player.

Think Liverpool had something like 27 shots at goal to Toon's poultry 1 off target effort. To think this shocking Newcastle side could actually stay up due to Hull being just as rubbish

Shearer should consider the "law of averages" technique - basically tell the entire team, if you get the ball on the good side of the half way line, no matter where you are, if you get a foot of space just shoot. Just lob it up towards the keeper, slam it, rocket boot, tricky curl, whatever you like because, even if it doesn't go in or get caught, there's always the chance they might bundle something over the line on the followup.

When you're in the situation the Toon are in, you might as well just get ugly. Well, football ugly, not Joey "I'm such a soppy prick, stubbing a cigar out in the eye of a teenager wasn't enough for me" Barton ugly.

Ashley's a cock who, by not spending anything in the transfer window, over paying the players he does have, playing silly buggers with Keegan and then employing a man who had a dicky ticker, has basically destroyed the club and any kind of profit he might have got from selling it had a buyer come along.

Now it looks like he'll have to advertise the club as a Championship side next season, in the classifieds, instead of the much more attractive Premiership status. Serves him right.

they have an even bigger chance now that Sunderland have lost at home to Everton and are very much in deep shit with the other 4 teams. Their only home match remaining is against Chelsea in the last gameweek, they have to travel to Bolton and Portsmouth before that

God i cant stand it, I really want Newcastle to go down, but i just see the others, Hull and Boro, and they are just as bad. I will be so pissed if the Barcodes stay up.

Shearer has really cocked it up, where as most managers will play the same team when they join a club, play a simple 4-4-2 that all the players know, the results you get are usually inflated.
Instead Shearer plays a 3-5-2 or a 4-5-1 or a 4-3-3 that the players dont understand properly against us they played with 5 midfielders and no fullbacks against Lennon, doomed to failure.
They have a few decent players like Duff, Nolan, Bassong, Owen, Gutierrez but they have so much shite to fill in the gaps, Allardyce has a lot to answer for, he pretty much turned them into the retierment home for old has beens

Ashley didn't want him there as manager though so he got little or no money so had to bring in some old timers. It was crazy that Freddie Shepherd appointed Allardyce only to then sell the club. Keegan didn't get much cash but Fat Sam was working on a shoe string.

i think the fact that the vast majority (well alright, all of us then) want the toon to go down is enough of an omen that they'll probably stay up on GD or something.

Lucky fucks!!!

Liverpool looked like they were playing a training match. I think that's why they wasted so many opportunities, they just knew they were going to win, so were only playing at 75%

If hull get a win tonight I'll be even happier.

I pity Shearer, I don't think a fine coach like Guus Hiddink could get anything from the Newcastle Squad, a collection of overpaid mediocrity.
