I am actually amazed that VAR did not (a) award a penalty against us (Dier handball) and (b) rule out Son's goal for offside. Both looked marginal and ultimately subjective.

I thought it was offside to start with, but it's tight.
On replay of the hand ball its lower than I thought, but as they said on Amazon, Salah moves his arm that moves Diers. Glad it wasn't given

The Dier one was never a handball, based on the shirt sleeve “rule” they’ve been applying.
Could argue it balances out the shitty one he conceded against Newcastle

Bergwijn has a particular job. That's closing down the left wing. It's not his natural game but it does help slow down their flank. I don't think it's helping his cause, a few sloppy passes have made him look worse than he has been imo.

Personally think he’s done pretty well especially in a few tight situations, his touch in attack has been a bit poor but otherwise he’s done well IMO

NBC keep going on about all natural crowd noise from the kop, how great of is. No fake crowd being used , yet u can often hear spurs chants.

Garbage tier

Yeah I keep hearing that, i don't think it would be that clear or loud with all those supporters meant to be wearing these masks. I think if it was real crowd noise Id be scratching my head wondering what the mumbled noise is, as I do every time someone wearing a mask asks me a question at work.

They seem to find their man every time and string 7 or 8 passes together at a time where as we manage 2 if were lucky and rarely at the feet. It is hard to watch from a spurs point of view as every attack they seem as if they're going to score. We can't continue to play they way we have in the second half or they will get at least a couple more goals.

I think it's funny; Mourinho entered PL the first time with a Chelsea team that was dismantling 442 by playing 433 (generically speaking). Today he has more of a 442 vs ... 433.

After watching Fulham play them I forgot how good Liverpool are, they're well up for it. We need a Jose masterclass or some Kane magic but it still is possible. I hate draws, still want to win this.

This is a low block, but unlike against City we have not been in control at all. Looked desperate often and given away some good chances.

wasn’t impressed with that 1st half but we’re still in it and all to play for.

It’s strange isn’t it? Would be intrigued to see some in depth tactical analysis on both performances from people smarter than me. I would have thought City would be a bigger test with the amount of creativity and finesse they have - Liverpool are more of a machine.

Bergwijn has been fine. He has a fucking horrid job effectively defending when I suspect all he wants to do is go forward. I think people should give him some slack.
