I’m most happy that we turned up and dominated the vast majority of that game. Also striking how much fitter and stronger we were than Liverpool. Sala mane firmino will have to play every game. Actually hope they beat Porto. No question for me their style of play will catch up with them.

I'm really glad that Lamela had played a major part in today's final result by winning the penalty.
This is what we need from him, making a positive impact and securing his place in the team for next season. It’s obviously been extreamly hard for him and one has to be patient, but we also have no place in the team for allso rans which is exactly why we need to get rid of a Sissoko. I think Lamela has a future with us and if he continues to improve and have a positive impact then he will be an excellent rotation option. Hopefully he gets a start Wednesday and can stake a proper claim for more game time in the coming weeks.

I am giving us credit, we played fantastic, we deserved to win, should have had 2 or 3 goals second half, we played fantastically.

Then we missed a pen, again, it happens, Kane can’t score them all.

Then after that, we crumble and what you call a great bit of skill and individual brilliance, I call one player beating 3 professional defenders in the dying minutes of a match, that my friend, is down to our mentality away from home, we feared the worst and the worst happened.

The only reason people are piping up digging on people calling us legends for those last few minutes now is because we got a very fortunate pen that the ref wasn’t even going to give.

Thank god the linesman made the right call because if not we would have been sitting here saying the same thing we have done the last few seasons wouldn’t we?

So yes, very happy we won, very grateful we didn’t lose but don’t expect me to ignore what just occurred at the end and be blind to it, I hope that THIS will be a learning curve for them and we will grow yet again from it because this is a big result, regardless of how it happened, that much I can agree on.

Don’t think I am not happy, I am, just worried about how we nearly threw it away at the end there.

Sorry but this doesn't make any sense.

Firstly it wasn't a fortunate penalty, it was soft but it was a foul. Secondly we didn't crumble, like I said and like you acknowledged it was a brilliant goal we conceded from one of the best players in the league, it's not as if it was gifted like the first nor did we shoot ourselves in the foot like Liverpool did.

This legends tag is absolute bollocks, it's bad enough when it's perpetuated by media and rival fans but when our own fans subscribe to this myth that we're still legends it's fkin annoying because it's not true and hasn't been true for a couple of years now. All you want to do is throw around the legends tag because I think it suits your narrative about Tottenham and it's almost as if you want to wallow in self pity.

The only person fearing the worst was you, if the team had your poor mentality then we'd be languishing in mid table.

Nah not for me, this shit of asking journoalists what they think in post match interviews and just generally being passive aggressive is wrong.

Be annoyed/disappointed but don't take it out on people doing their jobs, that's just being a prick.
I didn’t say I agreed with doing that in interviews, I was merely responding to him going apoplectic at the final whistle. I can’t imagine a manger doing anything else in the situation.

Am as happy as anyone that we salvaged a point, it was deserved. However, let’s not kid ourselves, we were one brain fart from Van Dijk away from being ‘typical spurs’ and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

We were superior in 2nd half but poor decision making meant we relied on a worldie from Wanyama and a couple of penalties to get something. All that being said, if we beat Arsenal on Sunday then it would be a very good return on 3 tough games

By the same token they relied on a misplaced pass from us and a worldie for their goals.

WE Battered them, cannot believe we didn’t leave with the 3 points. Awful 1st pen by Kane, absolutely shambolic attempt

I thought Kane would miss the first one, due to the delay and how important it was, him as a Spurs fan.

I knew he wouldn't hit the second down the centre, that it would be hit with a lot of pace, probably right.

Phew - Smash & grab draw!

Vic's goal looked like the ultimate toe punt.

Oh, and fuck off Klopp!

Smash and grab? Are you for real?... true game of 2 halves!... dire for the first 45, and then showed Greta character on the second!... of we had won that 3-1 they couldn’t have complained!

Its also important to note that under Klopp Liverpool have the best record against the top 6. This is a tough match its not a bottling if we lost to them, and the thing is we always tried to play, even after going down the second time, with few minutes left we still tried, we didn't give up or submit, ever in that game of football.

I hated it when people talked about Bottling it against chelsea in the battle of Stamford bridge, when we actually played well throughout that game its just chelsea have players who can seriously damage you out of nowhere, they were a good team, they could do that. Its what happened after that was concerning.

I expected a single goal loss today because of our poor record at Anfield but credit to the team (despite some players being nervous and not at their best) for this great result. Its only going to get better with Toby, Rose and Aurier to get back in the team, Wanyama, Winks and Lamela to keep on getting their fitness back and for the new boy Lucas to get chances to show his skills for us.

They weren’t great either, but a lot of their best moments came from our messing around with the ball at the back. My point was that whilst the draw is a good result we shouldn’t always let the final score dictate what we thought went on in the game. We all would have been fuming had we not got that penalty at the end

I don't think we were even that bad in the first half, we were just a bit flat and error prone at the back, but we did make a few good attacks and they didn't actually make that many openings in that half. But yeh we definitely second best, against a very good team it must be said, in that half.

We took control in the second half, but we still lacked a little bit of zest and made some poor decisions in the final third.
