I'd go as far as to predict De Gea has earned United more points than Lloris has earned us this season, and it's no secret Courtois is one of the best keepers in world football. Hart, Mignolet and Forster?! Not a chance.

Courtois is the best goalkeeper in the world imo, so I can accept him being rated higher than Hugo.
De Gea and Hugo are on a similar level. The rest? Laughable. Hart is massively overrated, Forster is better than him.
Mignolet isn't even top 6 currently. I'd have Begovic and even Adrian over him right now.

Hugo is top 3 in the Prem and top 6 in the world.

i believe the stats where based on clean sheets ONLY. hence the stupid ranking.

Not saying that I agree the LLoris is 6th best keeper but considering the amount of goals that we have conceded (only 4 teams conceded more than us) we really cannot complain much IMHO

It's official! Hugo is crap. No other teams anywhere should remotely consider offering us money for this clown for at least 10 years.

It's prabably based on goal conceeded though (or at least that stat will formulate whose top dog), in which case is probably about right.

Mignolet has the biggest amount of clean sheets doesn't he?

Where as Loris hardly has any clean sheets.

This shows more about the teams defence that individual ability of a goalkeeper.

As you say its probably all about the stats, which once again shows that stats usually do not tell the whole truth.

On what basis? Hart is proven at the highest level, and Forster has been pivotal in Southampton's prolonged spell of top-6 form which puts them on a par with us.

Lloris is great, i bloody love the guy, and has certainly had a hard time behind our back four but he's not flawless. He's certainly behind de gea and courtois imo, and should study how supreme the former is when it comes to kicking - the only significant flaw in Lloris's game.

It would be interesting to see a stat on how many points could be attributed to each goalkeeper. We've had a number of 2-1 wins where Lloris has been instrumental in us gaining 3 rather than 1 or 0.

That would be a far greater indicator of their ranking rather than clean sheets, which is more of a gauge of the defence IMO.

Hart has been a wreck at times despite being proven the so called highest level. Surely Lloris is proven at the highest level, having been in the CL with Lyon and been consistently good in the CL

As for Forster he was very poor at times for Celtic and made far too many mistakes, he has had a great season but defence in front of him works well

Courtois - has weaknesses with shots to the ground and when he runs towards players during a one on one, he is very good at making himself big but he is very poor to react to a player just taking it away from him or past him

De Gea - Arguably the best keeper in the world regards to positioning imo. He does very good stopping shots but thats more to do with his positioning and he always gets his feet sorted before hand

Lloris - Biggest weakness is clearly his kicking other than that Im struggling to think of anything perhaps low shots to the corner

De Gea and Lloris are in a class of their own imo behind Neuer, Courtois is very good and in around there

As for Neuer, he only has one weakness and thats his mentally, he does do some crazy stuff occasionally perhaps due to him being bored. Every now and again you will see him almost be a sweeper when his own team has the ball

De Gea and Hart are having great seasons but I wouldn't swap Lloris for any of them and I'm sure they would want to keep their own too. Southampton and Liverpool who have average goalies at best would swap their goalies in a heartbeat

Wasn't Mignolet dropped this season for being generally useless?

Not that it matters what sky think.

De Gea is the only one that you can make an argument as having been equal to or better than Lloris this season.

The rest is a joke.

Sky really is shit though. They hire Paul Merson - that pretty much says it all.

Presenters on MOTD feel as though Lloris is in the top bracket for EPL yet Sky says not even in top 5. Mignolet got dropped for Brad fucking Jones. Brad. Jones. Let that sink in.
