I was adamant he would be a great signing and that he should have stayed in the side after the Villa game. Regardless of anything else it really is amazing to have a genuinely World Class between the sticks. The guy has everything, quick distribution, he is a fantastic shot stopper, very commanding, vocal, has great concentration and is rapid off his line. Love him.

Yep. Outside of a striker, a keeper of top quality is the most important position for mine. Not as easy to identify as it is with a striker for obvious reasons, but he's already gained us pts this season. The entire defnesive unit is improved by a presence of a quality keeper also. Increasing confidence in the defenders, helping snuff out FUBARS at the back etc.

This was the signing of the summer for me and I was stoked when it happened. He hasn't surprised me at all. Just been top notch and getting better. He's not even near his peak yet.

After Bale Lloris has been our most consistent match winning player. It gives me a heart attack sometimes when he rushes out but I can only think of one mistake he's made (a poor clearance against I can't remember) and he has saved us on many an occasion from conceding. He shows such good judgement, which for me is the best quality a keeper can have.

love this thread.

Coup of the season in my book.. To have the French number 1 is massive for us. TBH, not entirely sure how we got him or why he came, but I love that he did.

Make him el capitain.

Loved it at the end when Bale shouted "HUUUUGOOOOO". Didn't see what happened next because my stream lagged

When it was clear we were looking to sign this guy I trawled the web for the the obligatory youtube clips. To be honest what I found I wasn't that impressed with. There weren't many highlights of amazing reflex saves or point blank blocks. Although I did trust that he must have some ability to be the french number one and captain.

After over half a season with us I now know why Lloris is so highly rated. He doesn't need make many point blank saves or reflex stops as he stops the danger before it reaches the point where the opposition player has time of even thinking about shooting. In the same manner where Ledley King was always hundred times better than John Terry as a player whose reading of the game was so good that made a tackle before the opposition attack could build. Rather than last ditch blocks that are a symptom of poor reading of the play.

Lloris intelligence, agility, speed, command of his area and general overall reading of the game for me marks him out as the best goalkeeper spurs have had in my lifetime. I just hope the team can match his ambitions because he is good enough to play for any team in the world.

Our best signing in quite some time, wonderful thought that we could finally have a true world class goalkeeper for years to come.

I would play him in every game, no rotation we will win things if he plays. His speed is incredible and like other posters have said he sees the danger before it happens. Him against Saurez will be interesting. He and jan signings of the season.

We are very lucky to have had him. Unless we play like yesterday until the end of the season, finish top 4 and win a trophy he’ll be off by the summer at the very latest

I agree, would play him in most games. I would give him a couple of days off for the dead rubber trip to Turkey. Let him recharge for the busy Xmas period.
