I'll most likely get slated and called an idiot for this train of thought, but here goes.

We're obviously going to be fielding a less-than-full-strength side at Old Trafford later today, and we're odds on favourites to lose. We have up to 11 players injured, we've been playing in a less-than-acceptable fashion of late (to put it mildly) and it seems everyone is losing belief.

Maybe, just maybe, fielding a weakened side will work in our favour - our overpaid multi-million-£ showmonkeys haven't been doing the business for us and half of them would appear that they're not arsed whatsoever about our season. Most of the players in the side for tomorrow - Giovani, Rocha, Gunter, Taarabt, Ranieri - actually have a point to prove.

This is a massive opportunity for them to prove their worth on one of the biggest stages in the nation if not the world, and given they rise to the challenge I reckon we can give Man Utd a good run for their money tomorrow. Stranger things have happened.

Come on you (young) Spurs - we can do this!!

The only Ranieri I know is the manager of Juventus.
It would be good to see Rocha and Ghaly play.

Mirko Ranieri may be on the bench today due to our other young goalies being in the Mexican tournament or on loan. I hope Ghaly plays too but I thought he'd gone to Saudi. The OS is often slow at confirming outgoings (Cesar has gone hasn't he?).

rainieri will be on the bench today according to Harry (aparently that's who he meant by 'that young italian kid')

alnwick will be on the pitch and the ball will be in our net more than once I'm araid to say

IMO about 3-1 to utd with them easing up after taking control of the game - hope I'm wrong of course and we sneak a 1-0 with alnwick playing a blinder -- do i believe that - no-

all I'm worried about is injuries and cards

and that Harry plays too many of our first team and leaves us in an even bigger mess for stoke than we already are

For the sake of the travelling 6000 I just hope that they put on a good show, as those fans deserve it after the shame of the Burnley display. It was sad about the Burnley fan dying but watching us in the week was enough to give our fans the same result. Hopefully Giovanni and Taarabt will give us some style and Ghaly some purpose. I'm not holding my breath on the result but I hope we all see a good display for a change. COYS

I don't think Ranieri actually has a chance of getting a second of football. I could see Redknapp doing something like putting Dawson in goal if Alnwick got injured...

Well psychology plays such a big part in sport. They know that we are heavy underdogs, and they know that no-one expects them to get anything. The pressure is literally off, even Harry says this competition is not high on our priorities.

Now this could go one way or another, we could play brilliantly with no pressure and steal something from the game. With some players trying to fight for their future at this club. Or if United get one early or so, their head's could drop and we could get absolutely battered.

Hard to tell, depends alot on both team sheets i guess.
