Not the most popular signing/player ever, but always liked him and thought he did a decent job. Never really found him at fault for much, seemed to work hard. Believe he scored vs Arsenal too, which is never a bad thing. Thought a thread for a former player's retirement was worth starting.

Enjoy retirement Louis!

Didn't Ferguson once say he was the best striker he ever worked with? Dunno whether this was pre or post van Nistelrooy mind.

He kept Van Nistelroy out of the side just before Nistelroy's move. Saha was a brilliant player, if he had kept injury free he would have been a worldy IMO. He had it all big, strong, fast (he used to have elsevtric pace at Fulman) , intelligent and a good finisher.

Good luck to him in his retirement. That Newcastle game was something else! :)

I'll never forget that Newcastle game! Mainly because I was suffering from 3rd degree burns to my arse after sitting on the coals in a sauna whilst naked and trashed on Jaegermeister in Norway.. But I mean also because of Saha's performance!

Not a Spurs payer I'll remember with any affection after he was cheering on the Chavs against Bayern whilst we were paying his wages.
