That entire thread is quite interesting...

George Bannister and P O'Keefe are suggesting that Traore is at the 'green light' stage and that if we can't get Diaz done, we can press that button but also Conte hasn't decided on Traore yet.

So maybe that is the hold up rather than Mendes, Barcelona, Levy or money.

He also said, as I’ve mused for a while, Traore is a player who Paratici wants in more than Conte. Conte is fine to go along with it.

I read it differently, I read it that Traore we can press the button but we don't have to right away and it may be worth waiting a day or two more and Diaz is the one that's still progressing and so we're giving that the effort but neither is dependent on the other. That said I actually think that with Traore the sand in the baby oil is Mendes.
??? This has slayed me. Well played.

Translation:

? Tottenham will insist on the signing of the Colombian and behind the operation would be one of the most prestigious player representatives in the world, Jorge Mendes ?
Cheers for the translation, much appreciated. ?

I mentioned it the other day, but I think people project on our managers far too much. People will hide behind "back the manager" or stuff like that, but it almost always means "buy who I want/like", and if there's link to a player they don't like, it can't possible be someone the manager wants. Not just on here, but all over social media.

I find it a more enjoyable experience to just observe and be optimistic about it all. I don't see what there is to gain from betting against us for bragging rights

And see the bigger picture really - someone liek Amrabat is clearly second choice and a stop gap to Kessie simply because 1) the player didnt want to move now (why would he, he could win the Serie A) and 2) he may want to go somewhere else.... so why go up in arms about it.

Anyways back to Diaz, he seems a good player and certainly one that would score goals and a front three with Kane and Son would be immense... I have a feeling this will get over the line along with Traore and Amrabat and if we can get rid of the trio of midfielders we have - id say thats a damn good window. It also helps us prepare for the next one by putting players in the shop window whilst saving a few bob

Mendes must be raking it in. Easy work if you can get it. Wonder how these agents muscle themselves into the world of football like they do. Crazy.

Feel like our transfer negotiations are that Spideman meme where he’s pointing at two other Spider-Men.
