What's the betting the despicable little shit appeals and gets it reduced. At least that'll give Dalglish something to moan about for the rest of the season...

Incidentally, if the ban were to start with Wigan tomorrow (which it won't) our game at Anfield would be the eighth game. Taking into consideration the appeal period, it'll probably be the fifth game.

Can't wait to see what Liverpool say about this. If they appeal he should get an extra two games added on.

Actually he might get another two or three games for his hand gestures.

Does this mean we can expect something similar for John Terry too?

I take it 8 games means in all uk competitions, pool have the FA and Carling cup games coming up. Though is the punishment held off until their appeal is heard?

i just read the FA report. there is nothing about extra games being tacked on if he appeals and loses.

Got to be. They've set a mark here.

Pity they don't stick to their slogan of "Kick Racism Out Of Football" and just ban the ****s for life.

I personally think they have issued an 8 game ban to give themselves some leeway when Liverpool appeal. Reduced to 5 games on appeal I reckon

But appeal on what grounds?

I would understand if he is appealing because he denies he said those things. But if it is a case of "Come on it was a joke!" or "It's a term of endearment where I come from!", I can't see how they would have a case to reduce it.

Delighted. That guy is scum.

A Print journalist told me that John Terry is to be charged by the police this week. FA had no choice in giving out the harshest possible sentence to Suarez given their rhetoric re Blatter. FA consistency and leading from the front whatever next?!?
