Yes, yes he will. Ultimately.

Keeping him against his will would be bad for club and team morale if he's dead set on leaving. We've actually played just as well without him as with him if you look back at results when he wasn't fit to play. He is an incredibly skilled player and it would be a pity to lose a player of his calibre but I think it's inevitable if we don't get CL next season.

So? I'm not saying he isn't a good (great) player. I absolutely love him as a player, I just feel like when we went through that blip, the first 11 have to be held somewhat accountable, and he's an integral part of it. I don't want him to go, but someone like Sahin would be a great replacement if he does IMO. I can't take another summer of Modric rumours man!
so you're singling him out from the other 11 his performances remained constant were as others dropped
he is but who says he want to join us? that statement would be true if you wrote xavi instead of sahin
Who Can? but one small quote in a 'paper' that all last summer was saying he's off, means it's not time to panic imo

How many here would sell Modric for £40m and buy Dembele for £12m to replace him?

I would love Dembele, but I'm personally unsure if he would be a suitable replacement for Modric.

i would certainly be tempted..............but although Modric stats say not enough goals and assists i think we would not realise how much he makes us tick until he is gone

Dembele is not in the same league as Modric and never will be. Some of you lot our dumb.

Why the F*** would you make a team like Man Utd or MAn City alot stronger than us when we are trying to catch them. Why help them?!! Please explain? Look at what happened to liverpool when they sold Alonso, they never recovered and we're laughing at them!!

Dembele is a decent player but he is not on the same level as Modric NOW. Therefore even if he has the potential it could take him many seasons to reach that and we will be a weaker team until then. Do you not get it??!!

Dembele really is the flavour of the month isn't he. Was sessegnon last month. Not that I think Dembele isn't a good player but his recent popularity has snowballed to a crazy extent. Has he been talked about a lot on motd recently (genuinely don't know as I'm not in England).

I'm really torn on this one to be honest. Whilst I love the little fella for what he brings to the team in terms of his fantastic football abilities, If he really wants to leave, personally I think Daniel Levy needs to sit down with him and find out what he really wants to do, and if they leave the meeting with Luka saying that he wants to go, we need to set a fee, and get this done early.

The club, and us fans do not need this hanging over us for the whole summer again.

Modric is a fantastic player and does make us tick as a team. But if we are going to be subjected to another Summer like the last one with the constant speculation etc I would much rather he was sold to the highest bidder provided the money was reinvested in the team.

It is really becoming tedious now.

So in a thread which is about Modric potentially deciding he wants to move after the Euros, should I start by saying "I don't think Gallas has done enough to demand a move"? Obviously I'm going to talk about the fucking guy the thread is about.
About Sahin, that was hypothetical, I said I wouldn't be devastated IF we got him IF Luka left.
maybe i'm being thick but i don't know why you mentioned the teams dip in form in relation to this related bs rumour.

I don't really know. I think I'm just trying to convince myself I won't care when he eventually leaves.

They are out of context. The big test comments were used in the context of Champions League games, or that was certainly the implication, when in fact he was clearly talking about Croatia and major International Tournaments.

lol, knew it. Daily Mirror stirring shit, Gooner loving knob pockets.

No he wont. You must have missed what happened last season and what Levy said at the end of this season. Or if you didnt, like Modric, you have learnt nothing.

I want us to keep Modric. He is a world class player we cannot lose.
The fact he that said he will wait after the Euros before deciding tells me he is not desperate to leave our club as many seem to think so.
There is a good chance he will stay.

We should keep him. There isn't a player as good at what he does as he is other than those already at clubs far superior to us in both stature and financial clout. To lose Modric is to either weaken our team, or change our system completely.

If Modric leaves we should go all out to buy/loan Nuri Sahin....could easily replace Modric imo and completely wasted at Real Madrid.
