In one way I'm sad to see him leave because of how good he is and what he brought to the team, but on the other hand I'm just relieved because of how much of a **** he's been.

Bye Luka.

I predict he will start 5 league games this season and this time next season we will be concluding a loan deal to bring him back to the Lane

Personally, this is my last post here, and since I'm Croatian, and Luka is last Croatian gone from Spurs, I wan't follow Spurs as closely as I was before (I watched 95 pct of games via cable or stream). In that respect, you don't loose much because I'm not "proper" fan because I was here because of Luka, Corluka and Kranjcar, but I really learned to like this club and I wish you all best of luck and title in next couple of years.

We've still got a bunch of young Croatians coming through!

Thanks for the memories Luka, sulker or not, one of the best players I've ever seen in our shirt. There's a BIG hole to fill now Levy!

I wonder if this partnership will be more productive than the one with Inter? It's only taken us about 4 windows to try and sign LD and we're still trying, lol. Good luck to, Luka but doesn't really feel that bad to me at the moment since it's dragged on for so long since last summer.

Well, good luck Luka. Thanks for your service.

Will be interesting to see how he does at Madrid.

I won't be wishing him luck, purely for his behaviour during the chelsea transfer saga, even if he is a class player.

He ain't fit to lick Ledley King's boots.

I think we have just lost a cracking little player, he is world class and that is why Madrid were so desperate or his signature, those who think he will sit on the bench are mad. He will push for a starting place and will excell, there xavi! I think we will see luka at another level now just a shame it wasn't for us.

Very disappointed but we have to sell to buy and sometimes you have to respect someone's wishes. The Chelsea situation was different as it was in our league and they are our rivals.

I do think he was a twat and there was no need as I believe he would have been sold anyway, so shame he had to resort to such games. Still quality player and has left me some good memories

This partnership thing is wearing thin, we have 10 of them globally and nothing has come from them. Yet more DL nonsense. Here is a simple message for Daniel, stop concluding partnerships and start getting your new manager the players he needs, stop being the DoF and go and get the financing for the new stadium.

I don't watch Real much, where's he going to play for them? In a 3 with Alonso and Ozil?

There's talk of him competing with those two, rather than playing with them. Moreso Alonso I expect, Modric offers a more dynamic type of playmaking than Xabi is capable of and that's what RM will be looking for from him.

I wonder what Ledely would have done has his knee injuries not limited his options and the likes of Barca or Real come calling?

Personally I think more often than not a player is only as loyal as his options.

If the big guns hadn't come in for Luka he'd be working away and we'd all be saying what a loyal hero he is, If Real had come in for Ledley in his prime and we blocked his dream move I would suggest things might have been different too

I think Luka will be a sensation at Madrid, I am not sure what the point of this partnership deal is. I am not sure what Levy is doing, he's the chairman not the DOF, anyway 4 odd days to go before the window slams shut.... I think this period will tell us everything we need to know about Levy's ambition for our club.

I hope we don't spend any more time chasing our tails with players we have no chance of signing or making stupidly low offers for players that will never be accepted and only serve to potentially sour relationships and make a selling club more reluctant to deal with us.

As we stand I feel weaker than last year, less cover up top and a Luka sized hole in midfield....moves simply must be made before the window shuts, will be very interesting to see what they are.
