100 mill plus Modric
85 mill plus Modric and Countrao
Spend some on Suarez
That's bale for Modric, Countrao and Suarez with money left.
What a deal
I was thinking this but a central midfield options of Holtby, Modric, Dembele, Paulinho and Sandro is just ridiculous and unfair. It is so good I would sell Siggy and wouldnt even look for replacement and have bentaleb or Carroll as 6th choice.I don't believe it's possible but if Madrid forced him out then I'd love to have him back. I'd say he's even improved since he left us, never gonna happen though.
Modric - PaulinhoSandroThat would be the best midfield we've had for a long, long time. Only going to see it on FIFA though
I think if Dembele sorts out his fitness he could be better than Modric. He's ridiculously good at his best but the problem is that he seems to be playing with a couple of fitness issues.

Behave.
All season we only lost 3 league games in which Dembele played for us, and two of those we lost after he was substituted out.
Dembele's a midfielder more suited to counter attacking, while AVB is getting us to play a possession based game. And he's been carrying injuries. Watch - I'm sure that when he gains his fitness, and with time getting used to AVB's style, that he'll be a top class player for us.
We were a much better team with Dembele in the side for sure. He is miles better than Huddlestone or Parker, so it's hardly a big surprise. As he gains fitness, if he gains fitness, will he learn to get his head up or will he continue to dribble the ball into blind avenues and then panic when he gets near to the box? He has some serious flaws to his game and he isn't close to Modric's class.
He's still our best option but I don't see him ever being better than Modric.
Are you sure you aren't talking about Parker haha?
I don't see Dembele as a headless chicken going forward at all. He needs to get used to playing against two banks of 4 sitting in front of him in my opinion which means a little bit more ingenuity, but at the moment he is the player who dictates our play. All of the midfielders we bought have had trouble adjusting to playing a possession-oriented game, against teams that sit deep, specifically Sigurdsson and Holtby. I'm confident that both will adjust, especially Holtby, and Dembele will too. Most of Dembele's best games came against the top teams, which is because he is given more space to operate, so I think he will learn to play better against teams that park the bus.
I think it would be catastrophic for club and player to reunite.
Great player? Sure. But there is a big enough cohort of our own that would never forgive and make the situation untenable. And so we would waste money and he would waste a year of his life.
Thanks for the time. No thanks for the exit. But otherwise, you a fairly minor caveat in our proud and long history. And we've already shown that we can prosper without him.
Modric walked out on us....to take him back would emphasis why RM take our players at will..we must start acting like a big club, if someone walks out on us than we should have more about us than having them back when they are dumped....
