Biss misses the Fulham game, back for Palace... but if he gets booked against Palace he'll be suspended for Chelsea.
He's bound to get booked again in the next few games so another ban is inevitiable , hopefully not against Chelsea..

PS On the MOTD commentary have never thought Jonathon Pearce was anti Spurs , in fact he said once that THS was the finest football stadium he has ever been to bar none. On Spursplay review they tried to make excuses for the dive which is not really on , it was a very silly thing to do by Biss just as the Liverpool players second yellow was last week.

I feel like the commentary of the dive in MOTD went OTT. never heard commentary of a dive like that before and we’ve seen some howlers over the last few seasons.
It was almost as if he was trying to drum up controversy/negative press for us after last week.

I don’t believe for one second he would ever call Salah “shameful” or any other player or a top 5 club for that matter
It was shameful though. I was embarrassed watching it.

Normally you get a talking to before a 2nd yellow in the first half.
You don't get a talking to for a dive like that. It's a blatant yellow card at any time of the match in any context. All on Biss.

Now for him to remember that walk of shame for the rest of the season and see him transform into Cuti Mark 2 and not pick up another yellow this year...

Oh 100% I just think that commentary made a lot of it compared to previous dives.
I think the main difference is you rarely see someone get sent off for a dive. So it was a bigger talking point due to how impactful it was.

I would agree in general though, that commentators and pundits do not criticise those that do dive enough and should call out them out for cheating.

Agreed, and this one wasn't even a penalty dive attempt so not quite as serious. I just felt he shoulda got a warning. I know I'm biased but still.... it wouldn't have happened to Liverpool for example (and definitely not today).

Diving in football is cheating and disgusting no matter who you are and who you play for. Deserves the red and I hope the club fine him his wages too.

The proudest moment yesterday:

when I logged on here at half-time and more or less every single comment was about how stupid Buss’ dive was and that he deserved to be sent off. Cannot imagine that ever happen on a Liverpool site. Well played guys! 👏🏼💙🤍

Pearce definitely over egged the pudding on the “shame” scale. It was a blatant dive and he got rightly punished for it, but it’s not something that doesn’t happen in almost every game every single week of the season.

The only issue I have with the booking and subsequent red card is that referees rarely do this. Most weeks dives just like this one go completely unpunished.

Whoscored.com passing accuracy stats are interesting for the first eight games of the season. Number one is Mickey Van De Ven with 94.6% then Cuti 92.1, Biss 91.3 and Solomon 90.6 and Sarr is fifth in the list with 90% pass completion then it's Destiny 89.5, PEH 88.3, Sonny 85.2, Maddison 84.9, Porro 82.9, Kulu 80.1, Vicario 76.7 and Richy with 74%.
Quite eye opening to see Madders comparatively low in the list but I think it's because he tries more difficult passes. Not surprising at all to see Richarlison so low but less accurate than the keeper is embarrassing! Our CBs are strong with their passing and that has been a real strength.

interesting read. For Madders it is definitely due to his riskier passing as he regularly is trying through balls and intricate passes through difficult areas with the strikers and wingers.

I remember at the time Modric had the same thing because he was the one playing the forward balls through the opposition.

Was agreeing with you till the last bit. You would think a private chat with Ange to let Biss know what's not acceptable would be the best way to handle it. Given that Ange had previously discussed Biss' leadership qualities, by making him know that behaviour like this lets his teammates down, that will be "punishment" enough.

No defence of Bissouma for me, first yellow he rather cynically pulled someone back, I’d have been crying out for a yellow if it was the opposition.

The second was just stupid, clear and blatant dive. There is no world where I will ever agree that you ‘warn someone’ for an obvious dive. Again if it was the opposition…

MOTD and consistency between teams is another issue, but clear and deserved red for me.

Yeah it was truly awful. I don’t get why he did it. He had multiple passing opportunities and we are against an awful side in Luton who we were completely dominating and could easily have been 5-0 up.

Yeah players like him will never be top for that. Trying glory balls is will always lead to passes not coming off. I’m sure de bruynes stats are similar
