Laurent Blanc was one of the best CBs I have ever seen at reading the game, up there with Franco Baresi and Marcel Desailly.

If Blanc isn't prepared to do the deal to keep the PSG supporting Sakho at mega-rich PSG, then that's a big red flag to me.

Sakho is a good player, but perhaps not as good as the salary he's demanding...

How good he really is, also depends on what kind of players playing around him. (If he played alongside Taylor at Newcastle for example, he is not worth buying, and the team as a whole would not be good anyway).

I don't think he is a very exciting player, I get much more excited at the prospect of Fanni, how do you feel about Fanni?

The only way I can see us getting Sakho is if we're letting go of Kaboul.

Essentially having Kaboul/Dawson as backup and watching Kaboul walk next summer.

Looks like its progressing, but still a way to go yet and with stiff competition Barca, Milan, Arsenal, not sure we wamt to meet the proposed salary either
