Molde FK's young senegalese striker Mame Briam Diouf scored a 4-trick in space of 27 minutes yesterday. Molde FK won 5-2 against Brann Bergen. His fellow senegalese teammate, Pape Pate Diouf scored the 5th goal.

Many scouts from different clubs in Europe watched the match. Were we one of the clubs watching?

I always hope to secure a player before he gets recards like that, but the price of a player always increases when you see a goalscoring show like that.

Here are the goals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knwLaO1YCn0

Again, would he qualify for a work permit?

Can't be arsed to watch the footage, but i would imagine this is against a team of blind children, or landmine victims?

I was reading up about hat-tricks the other day, didn't realise there were types of hat-trick (such as the German hat-trick, where all goals are scored consecutively in a single period of play, or the Perfect hat-trick, with a goal from each foot and one off the head). Amazing what you learn when you should be working, eh?

I that case RSS that one was a perfect german hattrick. Any idea what the extra gola makes it?

Not so much blind kids, but the slowest defence in the Norwegian Premier League. Diouf has pace, so he gets away from them, so he scores. Pace is pretty much all he has though, he has a shocking conversion rate.

Really pisses me off as Brann are my team and if our back four is challenged for pace we're guaranteed to concede two or three (or five) goals.

Huseklepp matured as a player quite late but in the last year he's been absolutely awesome. Great provider, superb technique and pace, and has finally learnt how to convert chances. Scored a Cantona-esque chip a couple of weeks ago even better than the one in that clip. I think he's more suited to France or Spain than the PL though.

Kudos to Spursking, he can't be as bad as made out if ManU have snapped him up...

He's staying at Molde until the end of the Norwegian season (early November)

Guess he'll join up with United full-time in January and then be loaned out to a lower PL club who needs a striker.

There's no doubt that Man U signed him because of his potential rather than for his current ability. Right now all he has is pace and a decent shot, but he has a poor chance conversion rate (unless he's playing against Brann, who he's scored 9 goals in 5 games against).

And, of course, there's always a good chance that he'll never realise his full potential. But it's a gamble that Man U can afford.
