We actually built the team around Winks today..let that sink in.
I dont think winks was to blame today and I could see the reasoning for having his better workrate for the early stages of the game.

But for the love of god why didnt Ndombele come on with Bale?

For me that was cowardly.

Son crying. Crying at his performance I hope. Absoutely dreadful. Not one player in this squad is beyond replacing now. Loser mentality engrained in this squad and club.

If he goes somewhere else and has quality around him that he can play off he will be loved.

He didnt deserve to play though unfortunately. I can understand those who say despite the lack of 100% effort he should play, but I can also understand those who say we are repeatedly not winning so lets lose those with the lack of effort. Its different schools of thought, nothing wrong with either as both understandable.
I can understand him not starting but should have come on for Winks on 60 mins for me.

we arent demonstrably better with him in the side. You take Lo Celso, PEH, Sissoko, Winks and Tanguy and I honestly dont think any arrangement of them works better than another.

I’m sorry but that sums our season up.

wrong team, wrong subs, wrong attitude.
Back to a midfield of sissoko and winks - laughable.
Taking moura off when he was the only player city were scared off - a joke
Players suggesting they need to leave to win trophies - yet given the chance they all go hiding.
And to sum it up - very clear levy pulling strings with mason im afraid....

Pretty limp from start to finish, our white flag was hoisted from the first whistle.
Someone needs to remind these players "To dare is to do".

As much as feel a personal sympathy for what Mason has been through, there is no way he should be given the reign for the run-in and a league cup final - only Spurs can create so much of fuck up of their own club. We are finished as a top-four challenger for the immediate future & can only hope that something, anything positive changes in the long term
That’s all on Levy.

If anything sums up our season it's Sissoko marking the invisible man. Premier league footballers who can't do the absolute basics.

No complaints with the result today. City by far the better team. But I’m so fed up with bullshit decisions against us in the big games. Laporte today. Sissoko in CL final. We’re cursed.

Listen. It’s easy to rip the guts out of squad.. it’s easy to point to individual players; Man City are a sublime football team, they ooze class. We held them at 1-0, with our withered, confidence sapped and downtrodden players. I thought we could nick it in the second half but, alas..Naturally I’m gutted. But we’ve been out of sync since the champions league final - if not before. I’m not gonna feel too down tonight, cos at core, I know we need a reboot. Change is gonna come. And not too soon.
