Don't give a shit who comes in but if it's a Potter type and this squad claim they're too good for a non-elite manager then they can fuck off.

Try not to buy into the overly simplistic legends narrative but I must say both this and the CL final were pathetic and at this point it's becoming a trend.

They’re an exceptional team, incredible players and squad because of all their millions and one of if not the greatest managers of all time who is an absolute genius.

We had very little chance.

That being said bit disappointed that we only had 2 shots and that bale didn’t start. I know he’s very inexperienced etc but think Mason got that line-up/tactics a bit wrong as I’ve never seen us quite so dominated. Don’t think it would’ve been much better under Jose tbh but we will never know.

We are a mess of a club right now.

I thought our defence was absolutely outstanding(minus reggi who had a shocker), Hugo toby Dier aurier absolutely brilliant.

Man C are a very good side but they’re not unbeatable. Look at Leeds last week, turned them over with 10 men. If you don’t pressure them then you’re leaving yourself open for a world of pain. We played right into their hands.

Meanwhile Eriksen & Trippier are going to be winning ? this season ...

Honestly at this point Kane should be demanding to leave & if he doesn’t fair play ??‍♀️

Based on what we have seen for the last 6 months how many of us on here would have brought on Sissoko at 60 mins if we were the manager.

It was just incredible to me after all we have seen that we end up with Winksoko on the pitch at the final whistle of a one off game.

My head does not have the bandwidth to cope with that selection or substitution.

Can't wait for the same line of reasoning after we sack the next manager and blame it all on him.
So just abandoning any sensible debate to make facetious points about what might happen in future then?

If we had held onto any 3 leads from Newcastle (twice), west ham, palace, wolves, Fulham or god knows which others I’m forgetting we’d already be there. I’m not even including games against teams like arsenal and Man U - just games where we were massively on top against clearly inferior opposition and consciously chose to cede the initiative. We have the best player in the league and are 7th which takes some doing.

I think if Jose had stayed manger we would have had a less defensive performance. It is worrying that Ryan does not appear to have the strength or authority to change things. Change is certainly required to these gutless players and the way they play. A wasted opportunity to win a trophy as we went down with a whimper.

It wasn’t gutless, I think that’s really unfair. Man City are just much better than us. I think everyone tried their best and I think the lads did alright against a financially doped team.

I think criticism of Spurs is a bit harsh today.

Last 2 finals against peak pool and peak city who have raised the standard so high, have made some of our very good players look worse than they actually are.

The players have had to forget the Jose way of playing and adopt a new style in 6 days against an incredible city squad that had there best players on the pitch.

The most obvious statement of the day will be to say getting the next manager right is crucial and more importantly getting the right standard of players.
I couldn’t agree more.

Didn’t expect much from the game today if I’m honest. I’d liked us to have a go at them as it’s a one off but that never happened. I played footy years ago and have the mentality of at least we had a go and were beaten by the better team on the day, it may be right or wrong but it’s how I feel. Next season can’t come quick enough for me, new manager with some new ideas. Hopefully get rid of some of the players who aren’t good enough, but that’s me done for the season now. Such an important summer with the new manager and hopefully player recruitment, sure Danny boy will pull out all the stops

Commentator - "why are City so dominant in this competiton??" Hmmm i wonder why. MONEY. Ahh but fuck the Super League. So much evil!!

Neville before the game saying - we dont mind money in football, turns a blind eye to all of city's misdeeds and then wonders why the likes of Spurs and Arsenal are looking for an equaliser.

Lol at the Jose Mason comparisons in this thread. Obviously Jose knows more about management, but he was a toxic influence. Unlikely there would have been a different result if Jose was still there, just would have been different reasons for the result.

Third manager who plays Sissoko and Winks together even everyone knows the result of it. This raises a question who has a last word in the club.

Another final another bottle job. Sorry the rest of lads let you down Hugo and Toby. Honestly I actually don't care who we sell in summer that's how fucking disappointing they are

Every final I keep thinking... If only... If onky we gave it a go... Why is no one giving it a fucking go.

I'll give it a fucking go... Make me manager. 10k a week. Make me manager. I'll fucking have more than 2 shots on goal.

You remember how there was an article that says levy wanted Jose to play winks and alli, then they clashed? Levy is a huge huge fucking problem. He Needs to stop interfering with football because im starting to doubt what does he actually knows
