At the end if the day regardless of who the manager is we are going to fail because the players aren't good enough, Poch over achieved with the players we had.
Levy just fuck off

The one thing that gets me angry, is somehow we managed to get through the first half even and actually started playing football in the second. You then bring on Sissoko for Lo Celso, our only creative player, and sub Lucas who was the only attacker making a difference. Yes were poor, but we actually had a chance to win and that chance was taken away by some idiotic subs. I actually feel cheated. This club is an absolute shambles at the moment.
This is my exact reaction. I never expected us to win today, but to have had the opportunity to do so at the hour mark only for our second-half performance to be utterly kneecapped by the decision to leave the midfield without any creativity is extremely difficult to accept. The fact that the game was there to be had and we left ourselves completely unable to pass between the lines is sickening.

We played no football in those matches. We had Kane and Son on fire but hardly had a touch otherwise. City were in awful form and Arsenal were and are rubbish. Please get at least something right. Just go and have a cold shower before spouting absolute garbage
Appreciate we're all a bit peeved after that, but lets not turn on each other too. At the time we were looking pretty decent, and that either City or Arsenal were off form doesn't mean the way we beat them isn't valid. At the very least we were looking a really good bet for top 4. Something has happened collectively, this isn't one or two players going off the boil for a few weeks, it's wholesale across the squad, with the probable exception of Kane.

Anyway, didn't want to get into a row about it, was just an observation.

Welp, I'm not gonna argue that City were the better team. Even when we started playing well in the second half they had us contained and in positions where we could do limited harm.

I will however say that Paul Tierney won this game for them by not sending off Laporte. Would Laporte have made a second foul if he was already on a yellow?? Maybe not. However we do know that he made two identical fouls that should've had identical punishments and that should be made a fuss out of. Mason would be within his rights to bring it up and as he's not gonna be the head coach next year he'd be alright to take the fine.
I think you’ll find that using that argument Reguillon should have been sent off in the first half

I think if Jose had stayed manger we would have had a less defensive performance. It is worrying that Ryan does not appear to have the strength or authority to change things. Change is certainly required to these gutless players and the way they play. A wasted opportunity to win a trophy as we went down with a whimper.
Yep he had a whole week to change the players mentality.

Who ever is having a go at Mason should be ashamed of themselves. If the ref had done his job the game would have been different. Most of what I have read from our so called supporters makes me feel sick
When such argument on the ref was made when Mourinho was still around, he will be called deflecting the responsibility or we should make our own luck or what not. Today it's not like the scoreline was 3-2 with us playing neck-to-neck with Citeh. We were totally outplayed and outclassed by Citeh with poor subs making the performance even worse. It will not be not surprising if Citeh can still threaten us more than we threaten them even if they are down with 10 men. We were that poor.

Need Nagelsman desperately. Need a style of play. Can't win anything if you go sideways and backwards every cup final. We made the club proud against city away and Ajax away in the champions League by going for it.

Today cemented what we all really know deep down.
We are no way good enough.

This game should have been city backing out of our ferocious tackles as they have bigger fish to fry, instead it looked like it was city's last and only hope of a trophy.

No good sonny crying, we as fans know we need a total rebuild.

Let's hope our new manager will cull all this medecrocy .

Hopefully this is the final act of this squad .

Done and fucking dusted

So just abandoning any sensible debate to make facetious points about what might happen in future then?

If we had held onto any 3 leads from Newcastle (twice), west ham, palace, wolves, Fulham or god knows which others I’m forgetting we’d already be there. I’m not even including games against teams like arsenal and Man U - just games where we were massively on top against clearly inferior opposition and consciously chose to cede the initiative. We have the best player in the league and are 7th which takes some doing.
I don't give a shit about your hypotheticals.

So who had a bet on Aurier gives away a silly free kick that leads to a goal that Sissoko can't defend? I hope you enjoy getting your money back.

Don't give a shit who comes in but if it's a Potter type and this squad claim they're too good for a non-elite manager then they can fuck off.

Try not to buy into the overly simplistic legends narrative but I must say both this and the CL final were pathetic and at this point it's becoming a trend.
I personally reckon we need a Voldermort type who would grab em all by the balls and threaten them with the excruciatus curse!

Another final another bottle job. Sorry the rest of lads let you down Hugo and Toby. Honestly I actually don't care who we sell in summer that's how fucking disappointing they are
I’ve never disliked a squad more than our current one. It doesn’t matter who we bring in to manage them. It could be Pep and we’d still do fuck all. They’re all mentally weak losers.
