What is the point in Dempsey? What has he done to earn his right to start? He's shit with the ball, but worse when we haven't got it. I understand what AVB was thinking by picking this team, he thought that Dempsey a CM come striker would offer more steel in midfield than Defoe, and obviously planned for Adebayor to hold the ball up long enough for Dempsey to get up and support, but that's to ignore Dempsey's absolute lack of drive, or quality, the guy is a plodder. He's clearly not as bad as his form's been this year, but that's not the point, we're in essence playing with 10 men against City atm. I know he won't be subbed however, unless it's to bring on Livermore...

I agree with taking Dempsey off for Defoe. With Ade being so good at holding up the ball Defoe would link up really well. Think we need to score a couple more
